W)CATION AND ACCESS

The propety lies approximately 120 kilometers northeast of

Timmins, Ontario. The property is accessed by Highway 101 (east-

west) and a secondary road that extends north from Highway 101

to the eastern boundary of the property. The secondary road leaves

Highway 101 just west of the Ghost River Bridge.

PROPETY

The St. Joe Inc. property in southeastern Rand, and south

western Lamplugh townships consists of 11 contiguous unpatented

mining claims. The claims and their respective recording dates

are as follows:

Claim Number Number of Claims Recording Date

L899958 to L899963 6 March 11, 1986L869132 l March 11, 1986L899964 l March 13, 1986L870602 to L870604 3 March 13, 1986

The claims were staked by, and recorded in the names of

Henry Gonzaleiz Jr. , and Gordon Mcintosh, holders of Ontario

Prospector's License Numbers M21149 and M114069 respectively.

The claims have subsequently been transferred to St. Joe Canada

Inc..

PREVIOUS WORK

The only significant previous work recorded in close proximity

to the property was recorded by Canadian Johns-Manville. Their

work consisted of a single drill hole put down in the eary 1960"s

the St. Joe Canada Inc. Property. The hole drilled in search of

asbestos mineralization, encountered gabbro and peridotite.

No other known exploration work has been done on the property.

GEOLOGY

The St. Joe Canada Inc. property lies in the Abitibi green

stone belt in the Superior Province of the Precambrian Shield.

This metavolcanic - metasedimentary belt consists of a east-

west trending, steeply dipping sequence'-of ultramafic to felsic

volcanic flows and sediments of early Archean age.

The Destor Procupine Fault is of major significance in the

area. Most of the gold deposist in the Timmins area are somewhat

spatially associated with this fault system. Complex folding and

faulting of the rocks occurred in the Kenoran orogeny, 2.5

billion years ago. After deformation? north-south trending diabase

dykes intruded. Regional metamorphism to greenschist facies

occurred contemporaneously with, and after, the emplacement of

granitic plutons. Northeast trending diabase dykes and gabbro

of Keeweenawan age were then intruded.

The propety is thought to be underlain by rocks of the

Hunter Mine Group, which consists of a suite of fragmental

calcalkalic andesite and dacite, pillowed and massive calcalkalic

basalt and andesite and associated tuffaceous material. Ultra

mafic to mafic intrusive rocks of the Ghost Range are : . located

Immediately southeast of the property and similar ultramafic to

mafic intrusive rocks are indicated to the south.

The property lies approximately 3 Km north of the Destor

Porcupine Fault in an area of only sparse outcrop.

GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS

A preliminary exploration program consisting of linecutting

and a magnetometer survey was carried out on the propety. in February

1987.

The baseline was established at 090 0 and cross lines were

established at right angles to the baseline at 100 metre intervals.

Stations were established at 25M intervals along all lines. The

linecutting totalled 19.2 Km.

MAGNETOMETER SURVEY

The magnetic survey was carried out using a Scintrex Proton

MP-2 proton precession magnetometer. The survey was completed by

Guy Thibeault. All magnetic data was corrected for diurnal drift.by

correcting all data to the main base station. Information concerning-

drift was tracked by looping to tie-ins at base stations on regular

intervals. From this information corrections for drift were made

assuming a linear change with time.

The main base station, assigned a value of 58,112 gammas

was established at L8E and BLOO. Magnetic readings were taken at

12.5 meter intervals on all cross lines and the baseline. A total

of 19.2 Km of magnetic surveying was completed.

TERPRETATON AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The .S'Ujrvey shows very little magnetic relief across the

property. The southwest corner of the property shows slightly

lower magnetic values and the values drift higher'to the north

east. This northeasterly increase appears to be mainly due to

a strong dipole effect near the southwest corner of the property

along the northerly flank of an ultramafic body investigated by

Canadian Johns-Manville Co. Ltd..

A geologic mapping and prospecting program is recommended

to further evaluate the merits of the property.

Respectfully submitted ,

Kim Woytiuk B. Se.,
