Welcome to Lampung!

Lampung is the south east province in Sumatra island.

Bandar Lampung is the capital of Lampung.

Strategically located and easily accessible,

particularly from Jakarta, capitality of Indonesia.

Bandar Lampung has been known as “Kota Tapis

Berseri” because Lampung has own traditions, high

valued handicraft such as woven cloth, interwoven

by gold threads called “Tapis“, and “Berseri” means

orderly, safe, submissive, faith, prosperous, clean, and

healthy. Lampung also has been well known for the

beaches and high quality coffee.

The weather in Bandar

Lampung is quite warm

with average

temperature around 25°C — 31°C throughout

the year. The average

annual rainfall ranges from 157—299 millimeters.

The origin of Lampung People is came from Lampung

People or Lampungnese, one of many ethnics in

Indonesia. Most people in Lampung speak Bahasa

Indonesia. But we have been involving English in our

curriculum so most of people in Lampung can at least

speak a few words of English.

Passport Visa Passport Every foreign visitor is required to have a passport for chance to visit Indonesia. The passport must be valid at least six months before it expires.

Visa You have to use Socio-Culture VISA to visit Lampung. Socio-Culture VISA valid for 2 months.

If you want to extend your VISA, go to Immigration Office Class 1 at Jalan Hajah Haniah No. 3 Cut Mutia, Bandar Lampung (phone: +627-21 48-2828) by paying around IDR 250.000 or approx $25 for service and administration fee.

Credit Card and ATM Credit Card Credit card use are widely accepted in Lampung

including hotels, shopping market and malls. You can

do transactions at merchant displaying VISA or

MasterCard logos as both have wide network in

Indonesia, including Lampung. However, the credit

cards are never used for small transactions such as

food stall, bus, or Traditional market.

ATM Cash withdraw us easy as ATMs are almost

everywhere in Lampung. ATMs of locals as well as

foreign banks are already connected with Visa,

Master card, Maestro Plus and Cirrus network.

Currency Currency used in local transactions will be

Indonesian Rupiah which is available both in

coin or banknotes. To avoid trickery and get

better rates, you may proceed to the nearest

bank or licensed money changer outlets

Tips and Trick

Make sure about your visa and passport before you go to Indonesia

Prepare your banking things, make sure your credit

card or debit card can be usedin indonesian merchant

Exchange your money based on your need,

count how much you need in a week, because

in Sunday, bank and money changer will be closed

Trans Bandarlampung

Angkutan Kota Angkot (small vans) is a one of public transportation in Lampung. Angkot have different colours based on its route. In Bandar lampung there are 10 colour of angkot. Angkot can take upto 12 pesangger in it. The flat fare is Rp 4.000 – Rp 5000. There are no air conditioner in angkot. You pay the fare directly to the driver after getting off.

Ojek

Ojek (the motorcycle taxis) consist of guys with bikes lounging around street corners who usually shuttle short distances down alleys and roads but will also do longer trips for a price. Agree on the fare before you set off. The price around 5000-20000 Rupiah depends on how far your destination. Insist on a helmet to them, and wear it properly.

Trans Bandarlampung is the best public transportation in Bandarlampung. The flat fare is Rp 5000 – Rp 6000. You can pay your fares, while others man employee or a conductor who will personally collect the fares from passengers. The facility of this bus is air conditioner and good seat. You can stop by every bus in some places.

Becak (Pedicab) is a

traditional transportation

which can carry 2 people

and easily to be find in the

corner of the street. The

price around 10.000-15000

Antasari Street It is a place where you can find a lot of seafood and steak here with cheap price! They will open from 6 pm until midnight.

Kartini Street It is a place where you can find so many street food from vendors. You can find unique Indonesian food like fried rice, chicken noodles, sea food, porridge and many more! Almost all of them are quite cheap, they usually will open at 6 pm until midnight.

Pagar Alam Street Not like Kartini an Antasari street, here you will find so many place to hangoyut, like KFC, Pizza Hut, Dunkin Donuts, A & W, Shunee Thai, Moon Zeboo, Steak and Shake, J.CO Donuts, and many more! It's quiet affordable too for students' pocket too

PKOR Here you will find so many vendors that sell so many snack with very cheap price, like baked corn, toast bread, wedang jahe, porridge, cotton candy, martabak, and many more!

Kuning”, or you can find the other clothes with some

brands in Supermall like “Central Plaza”, “Chandra

“Center Point Mall”.

Bumi Kedaton Zoo and Waterpark

Bumi Kedaton Resort is a good choice if you want to go to

place for refreshing from your job. In Bumi Kedaton, there is

a zoo that consist of many kind of animals. It’s not too far

from the city, it just take 35 minutes from the city. The

entrane tickets just Rp 7.500 (0,8 USD) . The elephant

performances will begin berofe 12 PM and the entrance

tickets is Rp 5.000 (0,5 USD) and the entrance tickets for

waterpark is Rp 35.000 (3,5 USD)

Butterfly Park Here you can find so many species of butterfly. In this park

you can see 100 species of butterfly from Sumatera either

it’s in cage or already preserved. The entrance ticket is Rp

20.000 (2 USD) , it’s not far from city , just 30 minutes from

the city, here you not find only find species of butterfly, but also other insect

Lembah Hijau

China Town

Lembah Hijau is a place for

family relaxing. There is a zoo,

water park, resort, outbond and

playground, you can relax your

self here, the entrance ticket just

Rp 10.000 (1 USD), and for

waterpark is Rp 30.000 (3 USD)

and for resort you can pay Rp

200.000 – Rp 250.000 / night

Here you can find Vihara, and so many chinese

food. There is Thay Hin Bio Vihara here, that’s the

oldest Vihara in Teluk Betung, Bandarlampung.

Tabek Indah

Tabek Indah has so many facilities , like water boom, cottage, BBQ grill, outbond, fishing, pond, air soft gun and plying fox, the entrance ticket is Rp 15.000 (1,4 USD) and if you want to use the facilities, you must pay again for each facilities.

Monkey Forest Here you can see so many monkey that are not

caget, you can feed them with nuts, you’ve brought

before, you shouldn’t pay for the entrance ticket,

because it’s free.
