I. Introduction

The Regional Cooperation Council's Western Balkans Youth Lab (WBYL) project is

organising online Capacity Building Programme ‘From Idea to Meaningful Impact’

which is aimed at providing opportunity for the representatives of youth councils

and youth umbrella organisations in Western Balkans Six as per their needs, as

well as their member organisations to gain additional knowledge and skills on

topics they deem important for the successful functioning of their respective

organisation. This Capacity Building Programme will be organised in English and

has the overall objective to strengthen the capacities of approximately 25

participants with no or basic knowledge on project management cycle.

II. Topics and dates

Topics to be covered by the Programme are identified during the needs

assessment exercise conducted at the beginning of the WBYL project

implementation. It consists of two modules on specific topics to be delivered over

the course of two weeks:

Module I: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Jun 2021

Module II: 9th, 10th, and 11th Jun 2021

III. Methodology

Capacity building workshops will be interactive and designed and delivered using

experiential learning methodology that supports participants in applying their

knowledge and conceptual understanding to real-world problems or situations

where the trainer directs and facilitates learning using case and problem-based

studies, guided inquiry, simulations, experiments etc.

The trainers have extensive experience in delivering online trainings and

organizing online events, so participants can expect interactivity and dynamic and

engaging environment.

Sessions will be implemented online via Zoom platform in period from 10.00h to

13.30h.

Module I: 2 - 4 Jun 2021

Youth Policy ResearchMain goal is to increase level of knowledge on how to improve

public policies for young people through research

Advocacy Main goal is to improve participants’ knowledge about key

elements of advocacy strategy.

Project Writing I Main goal is to understand the phases in project development

and writing

Module II: 9 – 11 Jun 2021

Project Writing IIMain goal is to increase level of knowledge on project

communication and implementaton

FundraisingMain goal is to increase level of knowledge on fundrasing

importnace and strategies

Monitoring and EvaluationMain goal is raising awareness of the importance of

monitoring and evaluation and tools that can be used

V. Meet the trainers

Aleksandra Gligorovic has more than 20 years of experience (since 1998) in preparation, management, monitoring and evaluation of national and international projects, financed by European Commission, EACEA (DG Education and Culture), Council of Europe, UN and many others. She

has years of experience as a Trainer in international training settings, designing and/or implementing trainings for employees for national and international civil society organizations, local institutions, self-governments, and educational institution. Directly involved in the writing of national and local policy documents (strategies, action plans etc).

Mirela Rajkovic has 13+ years of experience in youth sector while the last 10 years she has covered managerial positions. Currently leading the regional formal South East European Youth Network which gathers 19 youth organizations from 12 countries. All projects she has

implemented in last 10+ years had advocacy and policy making component. She has participated in numerous policy processes and engaged in development of more than 15 policy documents. In last 5 years she fundraised 4 274 000 EUR for youth programs in SEE region and she is an expert for project writing, particularly for the calls funded by EU.

Marija Pantelic has experience in youth policy, active participation and participatory structures – co-management system and EU Youth Dialog/Structure Dialogue. Currently working on different projects as a

trainer, facilitator and mentor which are related to the youth participation and advocacy in the field of political

ecology, community organizing and strengthening youth organizations. National Youth Council of Serbia, she took part in various youth policy processes (member of the national group for Youth Policy on Participation) and working groups related to youth policies in WB.
