Report on Regional Industry-Institute Interaction Meet - 2018
“Role of Professionals in Present Industrial Scenar io”

Preamble: Industry plays an important role for various students’ activities like Internship,
Graduation Project, Design Collection, Exposure Visit, Placement - to name a few.
Industry-institute interaction (I-I-I) is the most preferred activity for mutual benefit and
growth of industries as well as institutions. I-I-I provides the best platform for
showcasing the best practices, latest technological advancements, and their
implementation and impact on the industry. Also, I-I-I promotes industry experts to
participate in
curriculum design
which plays a
significant role in
preparing the students
ready for the industry.
Through I-I-I,
industries can
participate in technical
education programs
and cross-fertilize
ideas for systems
improvement. I-I-I can also increase the research and development, training and
mentoring activities in both industries as well as institutions which further leads the
nation to grow technologically and socioeconomically with skilled human resources.
We have organized Regional Industry Institute Interaction Meet - 2018 on
15th January 2018 at Jalgaon. The participants will be from the various fields including
representatives of the different Industries like Technical Head, HR or equivalent, R&D
Head or senior member, Chairman or Proprietor, Lead Engineer and above,
Branch/Unit Manager; Principals or Vice-Principals of Technical institutes
(degree/Diploma) and Training and Placement officer of institute and students of
GCOE Jalgaon. The border topic on which the distinguished dignitaries including
Industry Speakers deliberated upon was; “Industry-Institute: A Joint venture for
future”.
Objective of the Regional Industry-Institute Interation Meet-2018 :
The objective of this Industry Meet is to deliberate on the various issue for the budding
professional.
1. The industry representatives will be
the better person to discus the issues
related to the industry expectation
from the students who are ready to
join and serve the industry.
2. The students can start preparing
themselves as per the industry
expectations.
3. The faculty and industry expertise
who are trying to prepare the students to
serve the industry can also get the latest
industry requirements from their students,
the role of students in the industry, various
upcoming career avenues for the students.
4. The students can have a fair
knowledge about their career growth
as a professional in the industry in the
coming days
The Event :
The event of Regional Industry-institute Interaction Meet – 2018 was inaugurated
with lighting of the lamp by the distinguished

TPO) had given the welcome speech and a detailed roles and responsibilities of
training and placement,to the audience including industry representatives. After that
distinguished dignitaries enlighten the participants on the broader theme of the meet
in the inaugural session.
It was followed by the technical
session where the eminent industry
speakers given there presentation on
various topic. The final year student
participants got a fair knowledge
regarding the requirement of the
Industry, Industry expectation from the
budding professionals, various career
avenues and non-conventional
avenues for them, career growth
opportunities in the various sectors etc. There was an open session for the question
answer/interactive discussion amongst the industry representatives, student
participants, dignitaries and the eminent speakers.
