  2. 2. Internet influence depends on how students use it. It can be positive but it can turn into a negative influence if it is only used for leisure activities like playing games, watch movies, or chatting rather than for academic purpose.
  3. 3. How does Internet influence on the academic performance of advanced English II students at Universidad Tecnolgica de El Salvador?
  4. 4. General Objective: Identify Internet influences on the academic performance of Advanced English II students at Universidad Tecnolgica de El Salvador. Questions: The following questions will guide the research project: In what way does Internet influence on the academic performance of Advanced English II students at UTEC? Does Internet influence positively on the academic performance of Advanced English II students at UTEC? Does Internet influence negatively on the academic performance of Advanced English II students at UTEC?
  5. 5. (1) How Internet influences on the academic performance of students. (2) How teachers can identify those factors that interfere in the academic performance of students when using Internet. (3) How teachers can take advantage of those positive factors that can enrich the teaching and learning process of students when using Internet and (4) How the use of Internet can be improved to obtain the best of this technological tool.
  6. 6. Internet in education is understood as the usage of Internet technologies to solve various educational tasks, namely, teaching, learning and management of the educational process. (UNESCO,2013)

  8. 8. Constructivism theory Defined as active construction ( Bruner 1990 ).
  9. 9. Socially shared cognition theory Allows participants to actively engage in a community while learning and sharing.
