Research Round-up October 2014 – December 2014 Centre News Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies Jyoti Gondek has been appointed as the inaugural Director of the Westman Centre. Jyoti has a PhD in Sociology and has worked in finance and consulting, with her consulting work focused on issues related to urban growth. Jyoti is a member of the Calgary Planning Commission, which gives her a unique and relevant understanding of developer issues. Centre for Corporate Sustainability With the support of Enbridge, the Enbridge Centre for Corporate Sustainability has been renamed to the Centre for Corporate Sustainability, effective Nov. 1, 2014. The University of Calgary’s partnership with Enbridge will incorporate the School of Public Policy to inform energy and environment policy development nationally and internationally. The Haskayne School of Business will continue to facilitate the successful Enbridge Research in Action Seminar Series and the annual Corporate Sustainability Awards. We value our partnership with Enbridge and our relationship with them remains strong. These changes are an opportunity to better achieve the sponsorship objectives and allow the Haskayne School of Business to translate research knowledge to the corporate energy sector and lead in the advancement of triple bottom line practices related to the care of people, planet and profit. Centre News Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies
