What is respect?

• Write down four things that relate to the term ‘RESPECT’

• Watch the following two links, devised by learners. Do you agree? Are the four areas that you identified included?

What can be classed as bullying?

• Unwanted physical contact • Unwanted verbal or written

contact • Non verbal harassment e.g,

staring or gestures• Indirect harassment e.g,

spreading gossip, ignoring and withdrawal of friendship

• Cyber-bullying e.g, through texts, emails, mobile phones, social networking sites

• Unwanted coercion eg, pressure to join a particular “gang”, political or religious group

• Unwelcome sexual advances e.g, pressure for unwanted sexual activity

• Victimisation e.g, singling out an individual for particular treatment or criticism

• Intimidation e.g, aggressive or threatening behaviour
