Analysis Action Items• Complete the student retention model in HANA
– Allow for college/department drill down to examine individual student records
– Provide for more retention and graduation rate windows, e.g., 3-year graduation rate analysis
• Complete “List Manager” functionality– Let units define student cohorts (e.g., first-gen, low entrance
math scores, etc.) and analyze retention and enrollment trends
– Compare/contrast multiple cohorts– Identify micro-segments for micro-surveys
• Assist with further retention research– Conduct research into bottleneck courses and other student
progression issues– Analyze the impact of financial aid on upper class student retention
An Equal Opportunity University
Data and Systems• Collect student membership data and include into the
HANA models:– Living and learning programs, honors programs– Greek organizations, student clubs, sports
• Continue to expand the type of data included in the Advising Hub application– Add more ‘tags’ to the advising notes aiding reporting and
analysis– Collect activity engagement where it is helpful for advisors,
e.g., The Study, TallyCats, myUK Mobile, LMS tools, class attendance
• Add features to myUK Mobile and Advising Hub– Class attendance, event participation via myUK Mobile– “Reverse the flow of academic alerts” by automatically
identifying students who may need alerts, allowing instructors/advisors to create the alert if needed
