COLLECTION CHANGE
Starting the 1st week of Advent, the beginning of the churches liturgical year, we will only pass the collection basket one time for both collections. So for the 2nd collection if you receive envelopes put it in the basket at that time, we are supplying SEC-OND COLLECTION envelopes in the foyers of the church for any loose monies or you can make note on your loose check. All of the other loose money will go toward the regular offertory. This will save time and disruption from the Mass.
Thank You.
Knights of Columbus Christmas Baskets
The Knights of Columbus are now collecting non-perishable foods and monetary donations for their Christmas Baskets. There is a box in the foyer.
Please be generous to the less fortunate.
God Bless!

Celebrating Children at St. Theresa Catholic Church
To the parents of young children, WELCOME, and may we suggest…
*Relax! God put the wiggle in children. Don’t feel you have to suppress it in His house. *Sit toward the front where it is easier for children to see and hear. *Quietly explain the parts of the Mass. Sing the hymns, pray and voice the responses. Children learn liturgical behavior by imitating you. *If you leave Mass with your child, feel free to do so, but please come back. As Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me; for such is the Kingdom of Heaven.” *For children that need a “quieting room” you may go to the side chapel or the front foyer.
To our parishioners… The presence of children here
Is a gift to the parish!
*They are members of this community, and a reminder our parish is alive and growing. *The way we welcome children here directly affects the way they respond to the Church, to God, and to one another. *Let them know they are at home in this house of worship. *Please welcome our children and give a smile of encouragement to their parents.

Prayer for Hurricane Safety
O God, Master of this passing world, hear the humble voices of your children. The Sea of Galilee obeyed your order and returned to its former quietude. You are still the Master of the land and sea. We live in the shadow of a danger over which we have no control: the Gulf, like a provoked and angry giant, can awake from its seeming lethargy and overstep its conventional boundaries, invade our land and spread chaos and disaster. During this hurricane season, we turn to You, O loving Father. Spare us from past trag-edies whose memories are still so vivid and whose wounds seem to refuse to heal with the passing of time. O Virgin, Star of the Sea, Our Beloved Mother, we ask you to plead with your son in our behalf, so that spared from the calamities common to this area and animated with a true spirit of gratitude, we walk in the footsteps of your Divine Son to reach the heavenly Jerusalem where stormless eternity awaits us. Amen.
