system in Kentucky when the little gap between Versailles and Frankfort is completed The plan is to run all through trains from Louisville to the South via the L and A into Richmond here to connect with the Cincinnati train for same points This of course means that trains on tho other branches will be run in such mannet as to connect here Richmond is to be made the im ¬ portant connecting point consequently 1 union depot many new offices and tracks constructed Now H is easy for those familiar with he situation to see that Richmond is- is the logical point for the railroad di ¬ vision and Board present Messrs A D Miller Z T Rico WE Blanton and Harvey Douglas spent several hours examining same and questioning the architects assisted by the Superintend entProf T J Coates whose experience and knowledge of the needs of the schools enabled him to analyze the propostions and elucidate the intricate problems tobe solved Inhe evening the plans for the en¬ largement of the colored school building were carefully examined by Prof Rus sell and some other leading colored citi ¬ I zens In brief the plans call for additions toboth school buildings sufficient to do away with the present
