Texto de Nivel De Benchmark Adelante:   “El Leoncito” (Páginas 5-7)  Actividad 1: Lee las siguientes palabras y juega a deletrearlas: color, dorado, gacela, león, leopardo, mamá, pelaje, quisiera, rayas. (Página 5) ¿Sabes cuál es su significado?   Actividad 2: Intenta conectar las fotografías con las palabras. Haz tu mejor intento. Dibuja un corazón o carita feliz al lado de las que acertaste! Escribe una oración con cada una de estas palabras en los renglones.  **!Puedes usar más de una palabra para formar una buena oración! (Página 5)    Activity 1: Read the following words and practice spelling them: color, dorado, gacela, león, leopardo, mamá, pelaje, quisiera, rayas.  (See page 5)  Do you know what the meaning of each word is? Find the meaning of each word and write it on a piece of paper.  Activity 2 : Draw a line to connect the picture with the correct vocabulary word. Draw a smiley face next to the ones you know! (See page 5) Write a sentence using each of the words on a piece of paper. ** See if you can use more than one vocabulary word in each sentence!  

 

Texto de Nivel De Benchmark Adelante:   “El Leoncito” (Páginas 5-7)  Actividad 1:Mira atentamente la portada de este cuento “El Leoncito” (página 5). ¿Qué personaje observas en la portada del libro? ¿Qué está haciendo? Piensa en el título y en la ilustración de la portada. ¿De qué crees que se trata el libro?   Actividad 2: Escribe tu predicción. Usa el modelo de la oración como ayuda para empezar tu oración. ¿ Sabes dónde viven los leones? Haz un dibujo del lugar donde crees que viven los leones.  Guarda tu predicción para compararla cuando termines la lectura.   Activity 1: Look carefully at the cover of the story “El Leoncito”  (see page 5).  Which character do you see on the cover of the book? What is he doing? Think about the title and the illustration on the cover. What do you think the book is about?  Activity 2: Write your prediction. Use the sentence model on page 5 to help you start your sentence. Do you know where lions live? Draw a picture of where you think lions live. Save your prediction to see if you are right about what happens in the book and go back to it when you finish reading the story.

  Texto de Nivel De Benchmark Adelante:   “El Leoncito” (Páginas 5-7)  Actividad 1: Lee “Leoncito”. Cuando leo una historia me hago preguntas sobre los personajes, los escenarios y los acontecimientos. Luego utilizo las palabras y las ilustraciones para responder mis preguntas. Esto me ayuda a comprender mejor la historia y por qué los personajes hacen las cosas que hacen.   Actividad 2: Responde las siguientes preguntas (página 7). Usa evidencia del texto y las ilustraciones.   Activity 1: Reread “Leoncito”. When I read a story I ask myself questions about the characters, the setting, and the events. Then I use the text and illustrations to answer my questions. This helps me better understand the story and why the characters do the things they do.   Activity 2: Answer the questions in the table below (see page 7 of your packet). Use evidence from the text and illustrations to support your answers.

1. ¿Cómo se siente el leoncito acerca de su color al final del texto?  

2. Vuelve a leer tu predicción del inicio, ¿se parece a lo que sucede en la historia?  

3. ¿Si te encontraras con el leoncito, qué le dirías sobre su pelaje?  

4. ¿Qué aprendiste sobre los leones? ¿Sabes lo que significa camuflaje? Busca su significado con ayuda de tus padres. 

  Activity 1: Let's reflect! Answer the four questions on the bottom of page 7 in your packet:  

1. How does the little lion feel about his fur color at the end of the text?  

2. Re-read your prediction from before reading the text. Did you correctly predict what happened in the story?  

3. If you were to meet the little lion, what would you say about his fur?  

4. What did you learn about lions? Do you know what camouflage means? Find the meaning of the word camouflage with the help of your parents.

Lectura decodificable “ El perro, el carro y el burro ” (Página 8)  Actividad 1: Lee en voz alta la historia y encierra la palabras que tengan el sonido de la letra r (sonido fuerte -rr, como en la palabra carro o rosa) . Escríbelas en la tabla. ¿Cómo suena esa letra en cada una de las palabras?  Actividad 2: ¿ Puedes encontrar estas palabras en el texto?  -Hace  -vez -Cuando -entonces   Activity 1: Read the story “EL perro, el carro y el burro” (see page 8) aloud and circle the words that have the ‘r’ sound  (spelled -r or -rr, as in the word carro and rosa). Write them in the table on page 8. What sound does the -r make in each of the words you found?  Activity 2: Can you find the following words in the text? Circle the words as you find them. - hace  -vez -cuando -entonces

CAL Recursos de 2do grado.  Actividad 1: Lee las adivinanzas y encuentra la palabra escondida. Une con una línea el dibujo con la descripción correcta. (Página 8)  Actividad 2: ¿ Cómo encontraste las respuestas? Piensa en las palabras que describen los objetos.  Actividad 3: Lee las adivinanzas a una persona de tu familia y pídele que adivine lo que es. ¡Diviértete!    Activity 1: Read the riddles and guess the answer (see page 8). Connect the correct picture to each riddle by drawing a line.   Activity 2 : How did you know the answer? Think about the keywords that helped describe the objects.  Activity 3: Read the riddles to a person in your family and ask them to guess what you are describing. Have fun!

Sort the nouns into the correct category.  Activity 2: Write four sentences using one noun from each category.

  Aprendendo sobre Adjetivos  Actividad 1: Lee la estrofa de la poesía “Ratoncito Escobilla” escrita por Marisa Moreno, y subraya todos los adjetivos calificativos. (Página 9)  Actividad 2: Escribe nuevamente la estrofa, reemplazando los adjetivos subrayados por otros. ¡Colorea el ratoncito y dale vida!!   Activity 1 : Read about adjectives on the bottom of page 9 of your packet.  Activity 2 : Read the poem “Ratoncito Escobilla” written by Marisa Moreno. Underline all the adjectives in the poem. Choose 3 adjectives and use them in a sentence. Write your sentences on a piece of paper.

Creo mis propias adivinanzas  Actividad 1: Recuerda la historia de “Leoncito”. Piensa en todos los animales que se mencionan. Descríbelos en las líneas y crea tus propias adivinanzas. Piensa en cómo son físicamente, en los sonidos que emiten, en el lugar en que viven. Sigue el ejemplo como modelo.   Actividad 2: Colorea los animales. Lee y comparte tus adivinanzas con alguien de tu familia.    Activity 1: Reread the story "Leoncito". Think about all of the animals that are mentioned in the story. Create your own riddles to describe the animals. Think about how they look, the sounds they make, and where they live as you write your riddles. Follow the example for “El Leon” as a model.  Activity 2: Color the pictures of the animals. Read and share your riddles with someone in your family.

What are you like?  Activity 2: Think of different people in your family. Write words that describe them.
