Brownie Troopworks on badgesHoward City Brownie Troop 4107 is a troop of 30 kin-

dergartens, rst- and second-graders from McNaughton El-ementary.

While working on a couple of badges, the Brownie Questand the Philanthropist Badge, they decided to see if theycould do a food drive completion among the classes at Mc-Naughton; with all the items going to Helping Hands inHoward City. The class that brought in the most items wouldbe treated to an ice cream party. After returning from springbreak, the Brownies were given the OK to do this.

The troop collected food from the class rooms for ninedays. More than 2868 items were collected. Mrs. Moggsclass came from behind and took the ice cream party. Due tothe great response from the teachers, students and parents, every class was given a treat for their effort. The troop wouldlike to thank everyone who helped make this a wonderfullysuccessful service project. The girls have plans to hopefullydo this again next year.
