Rock School Breakdown by The L iving Room:Rock School is a 3 day long camp, 11am – 4pm that puts youth (6-11yrsold) in a band situation where they are taught basic music theory, learn all about the dynamics of playing in a band and write their own song. The camp will culminate in the form of a small

concert where the band will perform to family, friends and students.

Day 1 / Band DynamicsThe program starts with a getting to know you session before kicking off with a training session. The first day is focused on Band dynamics and the shape of music. We will also set the groups be deciding on band names and cover song choices. After lunch we will

have time to prepare and practice as a band.

Day 2 / Song WritingAfter some good sleep we will meet up and jump into our song writing training session, where we will look at and discuss different

approaches to songwriting. From there we will apply what is discussed and go about creating our own songs. After lunch we will have time to prepare and practice as a band.

Day 3 / Performance Our final day is performance time! The morning session we will look at the do’s and don’t’s of performance and see how we can add the Xfactor to each of the performances. Throughout the day the bands will be preparing and practicing for a small concert for family,

friends and the students, the concert will be held at the end of the day.
