All the 1100 pairs shoes was washed and refined with the help of the educated volunteer from different organization. The refinement training was given by the so called Sarki (Uneducated) proving the saying that “the uneducated person can also teach the well-educated person in the society”. The project was the test run for the pollution reduction campaign as well as fascinating the mobilization of reuse and recycle of the consumer goods in the markets. Also the virtual motivation of the project was to engage the youth in the creative skills behind the shoes making process. The project was a huge success, which increase the motivational factors among the club members that they can at least able to control a small section of pol-lution through shoes which takes a long time interval for degradation. Likewise, we also control a small section of air pollution by reusing though shoes without burning it.

Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women, that can’t be cured easily, if not discovered in the early stages. Therefore, we organized talk program on breast cancer awareness with the common tips proposed by Rotaract Club of Sarayat El Maadi including a speech by Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Medical College’s Rotaractor Dr. Pranav Shrestha Nepali.

Tips For Breast Cancer Prevention

1. Avoid becoming overweight.Obesity raises the risk of breast cancer after menopause. Try to maintain a body-mass index under 25.

2. Eat healthy to avoid tipping the scale. Embrace a diet high in vegetables and fruit and low in sugared drinks, refined carbo-hydrates and fatty foods. Eat lean protein such as fish or chicken breast and eat red meat in moderation, if at all. Eat whole grains.

3. Keep physically active. Increased physical activity reduces overall breast-cancer risk by about 10 percent to 30 percent. All it takes is moderate exercise like a 30-minute walk five days a week to get this protective effect.

4. Don’t smoke. Long-term smoking is associated with increased risk of breast cancer in some women.

5. If you bear children, breast-feed your babies for as long as possible. Women who breast-feed their babies for at least a year in total have a reduced risk of developing breast cancer later.

6. Avoid hormone replacement therapy. Menopausal hormone therapy increases risk for breast cancer. If you must take hormones to manage menopausal symptoms, avoid those that contain progesterone and limit their use to less than three years.

7. Get regular breast cancer screenings.

8. Choose safe cosmetics
