Paula Weaver Gates, our Rotary District’s 2017-
2018 District Governor became a Rotarian in 2004.
She served as president of the Bossier City club in
2009-2010 and is now a member of the Rotary
Club of Alexandria Metro. She has served in vari-
ous leadership roles in our District during this time
and has attended numerous International Conven-
tions and Zone Institutes.
DG Paula has earned three degrees from NSU
School of Nursing, most recently a MS in Nursing
in 2012. She works for ICE Health Services as a
contractor providing health care services to detain-
ees in Alexandria, LA. She achieved her Certified
Correctional Health Professional certification in
2016.
Paula and her husband, Past District Governor
Wayne Gates, are Major Donor Level Two. They have five children between them,
all of whom are Paul Harris Fellows.
The District’s purpose is to provide leadership training and create opportunities for
other Rotarians to define what Rotary can mean to them. Come prepared with
questions about how we interact with our District and how they can help our club.
