Comments Attended a "real life" conference today... missed

wearing my pyjamas and changing positions as

    back pain required.

A grt outcome from #otday10 Been invited tosubmit article to OT journal. How cool is that :)

Participating and being able to speak - ANDbeing able to discuss, network - all the

advantages of a normal conference without the

    jetlag and cost!

What a fantastic day, so interesting2hear theviews of OTs all round the world, really inspiring to

get me thru my last7months of uni

We will be tweeting and facebooking the#otday10 in portuguese, during the day, here.

Being able to connect with OTs and OT studentsaround the world, learn from them, network and

discuss issues as they cropped up. Text chat is a

fantastic feature that I think I will miss in "Real Life"conferences!

The thoughts and discussionsstimulated by the presentationsand the insights from people onewouldn't usually get to "talk" with. The sense of unity across the worldof the commitment to occupation

and enthusiasm for our profession -this came from speakers and"audience"

    Making change M. Iwama

Into the information age The world has changed and so has our

    profession forever

Compared to traditional publishing and teaching Compared to typical conference costs Not just the usual topics, not just the big names Dismantling the barriers

    Lessons

Keep it lean - work alongside of, rather than in,the organization and w/ small group

Harness appropriate technologies but KISS Who are the best connected people you know? Passions and skills New & existing media for publicity Recycling is good Fun is important
