Elk of the Month
Hello all, I am writing this message in absence of an elected Exalted Ruler.
October was filled with the Halloween parties, a turkey and steak dinner andeven a pancake breakfast, thanks for the help everyone gave!!
November is a busy month. The first meeting of the month we need to electthe Exalted Ruler for the next 5 months and good luck to whomever it is, wewill all stand behind you. There is a Platt Tech football dinner set for Wed11/20 and a Law and Foran football dinner set for Wed 11/27, and I am surewe will need volunteers to set up, cook, serve, and clean up.
Special Olympics are coming up on Sat 11/23 and Sun 11/24. JimHessberger will have sign up sheets in the lodge with times, so please signup and give an hour or so for a good cause.
Also we need to think about some new fund raising events we can plan andexecute to help the lodge grow, any ideas please approach myself or anyofficer or chairman in the lodge to discuss it. And I just want to thank all themembers for all you do and your support, it may not be said often enough butall you do is appreciated.
Hope to see you soon. Bob Magowan, Leading Knight
Ray Bernor has been stepping up and helping with functions. He did a greatjob with the soccer shoot and always gets involved when he can. He displaysa good attitude in the taproom, at meetings, and functions and is always eagerto learn new things about our organization. Good job Ray and keep up thegood work.
