Fellow Elks,
Once again I say hello and thank everyone for their efforts in April, It was along month busy with new Officers coming in and moving up and some leavingoffice as well. I would like to congratulate all of my Officers and CommitteeChairs and wish them good luck this year and let them know I am with andbehind them 100%.
We had one of the most important Youth Activities event yet on April 24th withthe Cub Scouts Blue and Gold Dinner and thanks to all who came out andhelped. It was very successful all the kids and parents had a good time and itreminded the Lodge why we volunteer all our hard work.
May is just as important starting with Youth week 5/1-5/7.
Youth Awards Scholarship Dinner on 5/6.
The Duck Race 5/3 and a Mothers day brunch on 5/10.
We also will be doing the Laying of Flags on the graves of Veterans on 5/23and the Memorial Day Wreath Laying on 5/24.
These are all very important events and as Elks we should all participate in allthem even for a hour or so to show the community and each other how wecare.
Lastly I want to just tell everyone "Thank You", we are moving ahead soquickly that sometimes we forget to stop and thank each other for the hardwork and dedication we bring with us to every event or function or by justkeeping the building running smoothly. All your hard work and effort is not unnoticed and we could not be a whole without all the pieces each and every oneof our members bring no matter how small of a gesture.
As always call, e-mail me or text anytime and I will help any way I can.
Bob Magowan, Exalted Ruler (cell) 203-383-0894, [email protected]
