Field Day is almost here!
Field Day is fast approaching! There are only 2 weeks left until Field Day on May 18th! This is truly one of the best events you can volunteer for, as the kids are able to have an
entire day of fun made possible by us along with the leadership of Miss Anolick. We have had a good amount of people sign up to help, but we are still looking for at least 10 more. For those of you who have already signed up, please confirm that your times are correct, and if you haven’t signed up please do so! Even an hour volunteering will help
and you’ll get to watch the kids having a blast! Please email Katie Durkin [email protected] with your interests and availability for volunteering on
the day for the event. Thank you for your help!

This year’s SJV Auction was a great success! With our new format, we increased our contribution to
over $58,000 this year! This will help fund tuition assistance for our SJV Foundation, meet the needs of
7 different Parish and School projects, and contribute to important technology expenses in our
School. The generosity per attendee increased by almost 50% this year, making the new format highly
effective in generating these funds. More details on how these funds will be shared across the Parish,
School and SJV Foundation will come in the future. Thank you to all those who donated or attended or
volunteered to make this event a smashing success!

Dear Parent,
The Grand Rapids Public Schools district is happy to again make available the Grand Rapids Academic Summer Program for your child(ren) this summer. GRASP is a 9-week correspondence program in grades K – 8 which helps students maintain reading and math skills while they are on summer vacation. It should take you and your child approximately one hour per week to complete each weekly lesson.
We suggest parents order the level just completed. If there are extenuating circumstances, order the level that is appropriate for your child.
Lessons are completed, mailed to a scoring center where they are analyzed and then returned to you. Instruction sheets found in each packet provide all the necessary information. In addition to Grand Rapids Public School funds which support the program, an enrollment fee of $26.00 for one subject or $46.00 for both subjects is required. All materials will be sent home with the child the last week of school.
You may select the online version of GRASP for students in 4th to 8th Grade instead of the mail-in option. Be sure to give us an email address and we will email the login information.
