In the following pages you will find what we believe is the key to finding your
unique place at Green Acres.
You see, we realize that the size of
Green Acres can be a bit over-
whelming for some. And we know that
it is sometimes easy to feel like you’re
getting lost in the crowd. However, we
also know from experience that when
you find your place in Sunday Morning
Bible Study . . .
that sense of being overwhelmed
by the size of the church suddenly
disappears,
the Bible comes to life as you live
its teachings in relationship with
others whose needs and interests
are very much like your own,
you are part of a caring group
that is there in your times of
need,
and you begin to experience, first
hand, what this process of “Making Disciples” is all about.
As you begin your search, we encourage you to experiment with several
classes (some folks call that “shopping around”), see which one best fits your
needs and interests, and then make a commitment to invest your life with the
lives of the others in that group as you discover together the joy of
experiencing God’s Word in “real life.” If you need additional help finding a
place to get started in your search, you might check out our Sunday Morning

Throughout this guide you will find the names of the staff members who are
responsible for each of our areas of Sunday Morning Bible Study. They are
here to help, so do not hesitate to contact them with your questions or
suggestions. And, on the following page, you will find the names and contact
information for a number of our other staff members, just in case you have
questions about any of the other ministry opportunities that are yours at
Green Acres Baptist Church.

Parents and children, birth through 5th Grade should come to the
Lighthouse Children’s’ Welcome Center at 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. on Sunday
morning. Our Children’s Ministry Welcome Team will take care of all of the
details of registration, introducing you to security procedures, and then will
escort you to your child’s room and help you find your way to your class or
worship. We are glad you are here!

meet in the 110 Student Center, on the north end of the campus,
adjacent to Troup Highway, at 9:00 or 10:30 a.m.
The Student Center Welcome Team is looking forward
to providing all the information you need, and to directing
your student to just the right Sunday morning group. They
will also be glad to direct them to the Worship Center, or other locations
on campus in order to meet your family after Sunday Morning Bible Study.

A brand new class consisting of nearly-and newly-wed couples in their twenties. The class is medium in size with a healthy mix of lecture and discussion. Their desire is to glorify God as we study His Word while fostering authentic community through a variety
of fellowship opportunities.

A group of young adults, who are predominately engaged or newlywed couples. This is a welcoming group with discussion-based teaching whose members enjoy spending time together
during the week.

A mid-sized interactive class comprised of mostly young married couples, but anyone is welcome. Includes couples with children, some without, and some with kids on the way! Our goal is to train
disciples to not simply be hearers, but doers of God’s Word.

Andrew Bentley This is a group of adults who share a passion for foster and adopted children. Many have adopted children or are foster parents, but some are just very supportive of these families.

A group of married couples at various stages of life, with and without kids. A discussion style group that desires to live life
together and challenge each other. The group regularly meets during the week to connect and for spouses who can’t attend
Sunday Morning Bible Study.

The LIFE in LIFELINE stands for “Living In Faith & Example. This group is an interactive class composed mainly of young to middle age adults most of which are in the medical field. Our desire is to touch peoples’ lives and share the good news,
create an impact in the community, and ultimately to give glory to our Lord.

Open to all adults who want to be in an interactive Bible study with people who are discovering God’s provision for the challenges of daily life. The Bible study is intellectually

Sammy Rhodes These are men 65+. Many are early retirees who are active in both

all, of these ladies are married, and their husbands attend Sammy Rhodes’ group.

Preschool & Children
Children’s Ministry classes are divided between K & 1st, 2nd-4th, and The Bridge (5th & 6th). Kids’ classes are interactive, with hands on teaching. Parents receive
resources to continue teaching their children after Sunday morning.

South Campus Kidz Church 10:30 a.m.
A hands-on, interactive Bible class during the 10:30 worship hour for kids K - 3rd Grade. Children in these grades who are in a SMBS class will go directly to Kidz Church unless picked up by their parent. Kidz Church does not meet on the last Sunday of the
month, Lord’s Supper Sundays, and some holidays.
