Silent Prayer of Confession

Corporate Prayer of ConfessionAlmighty and everlasting God, you govern all things in heaven and on earth, and you’ve made all ages a preparation for the coming of your Son. We confess that we have sinned. We have not loved you as we ought. We have exercised false priorities; maintained false concepts of God; taken vows we have not kept; failed to honor your Lord's Day. Furthermore, we have not loved one another as we ought. We have failed to give honor to whom it is due; failed to preserve life; failed to maintain purity of heart; taken what is not ours; borne false witness to make ourselves look better; and we have entertained covetous thoughts. O God forgive our many sins! We are sorry for them. We look to the merit and mediation of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, to wash away our sins. Grant that we may grow in true faith and obedience, to the honor of your great name. We pray in the strong name of Jesus. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon Titus 3:5-7He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy...through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Hymn Jesus Paid It All #308 (1-4)

I hear the Savior say, “Your strength indeed is smallChild of weakness, watch and pray, find in me your all in all"

Refrain:Jesus paid it all, all to him I oweSin had left a crimson stain, he washed it white as snow

Lord, now indeed I find your power, and yours aloneCan change the leper's spots, and melt the heart of stone

For nothing good have I whereby thy grace to claim I'll wash my garments white in the blood of Calv'ry's lamb

And when, before the throne, I stand in him complete"Jesus died my soul to save," my lips shall still repeat

Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father, Almighty. From thence, he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
