Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Lord, Welcome to Sacred Heart Church! Hope you remembered to “fall back,” to set your clock back one hour this morning! It is a blessing to have you join our

worshiping community as we celebrate our Eucharistic Liturgy for the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. Your presence and prayerful participation enrich our Liturgy. Thanks for joining us! This Thursday, we have a special treat for our Parish community. Saint Luke Productions has been invited to present “Faustina, Messenger of Divine Mercy.” This is a live multimedia drama, performed by Maria Vargo and directed by Leonardo DeFilippis. We are sponsoring this event as we close out this Jubilee Year of Mercy. The iMercy Mission two weeks ago was one way of communicating the mercy of God. This performance of “Faustina, Messenger of Divine Mercy” is another means of teaching the Lord’s message of mercy. Come as a family! Come with some friends! Come to be blessed with the message of Divine Mercy. Again, it’s this Thursday at 7:00pm in our Church. Hope to see your there. The readings this 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time and for the next two weekends invite us to “not be afraid” as we come to the “end times.” These final weeks of the Church’s Liturgical Year present us with scripture passages directing us to be conscious of the “end times” and God’s eternal Kingdom. Today’s Gospel has the Sadducees questioning Jesus about the resurrection. It is a trick question coming from Sadducees who do not believe in the resurrection. Jesus goes on to affirm the resurrection, saying those who rise are “like angels.” The risen “are the children of God.” It is our faith in the Resurrection that enables us to follow Christ. It is Jesus’ promise that we will rise that enables us to endure the trials of discipleship. May our faith in the Resurrection guide our lives and lift our spirit. Peace be with you! God bless, Fr. McKee P.S. I welcome our new altar servers for their enrollment ceremony at Sunday’s 12:00noon Liturgy. I am grateful for your willingness to serve your Parish Community.
