His words are a challenge to her. He dares her to change.

Prometheus pities humankind for the condition they live in, without so much as fire for warmth.

CROSSING THE THRESHOLD

The moment when Annie finds herself looking down at Nick after she “kills” him is the moment that sets the events in motion that ultimately lead to her change as a person.

Prometheus grows to care for the human race. This is the threshold he crosses that leads him to steal fire from Zeus.
