Thursday, April 25 is the annual St Charles blood drive from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. Allstudents age 16 (with a parent permission), and 17 years old are eligible to participate and donate blood. All parents,grandparents, neighbors and friends are encouraged to help the students with this life saving project.

For illness prevention, frequent and thorough handwashing is #1, followed by healthy eating, adequate sleep, exercise, andlimiting contact with those that are ill. St. Charles does regular cleaning of its facilities. Bathrooms have soap and water;hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are available in all classrooms and meeting areas. Thank you for reinforcing goodhygiene with your sons.

St. Charles Theatre. The St. Charles Preparatory School Drama Department is proud to announce its winterproduction, the Columbus and Central Ohio premiere of The Hundred Dresses, a musical by Ralph Covert and G. RileyMills and based on the book by Eleanor Estes. The Hundred Dresses will be presented Thursday, Friday, andSaturday, February 21, 22, & 23 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 24 at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Charles CampusTheatre. Adult tickets are $10 each, and student tickets are $5 each. Reservations may be placed by calling the St.Charles main office at 614-252-6714 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Based on the beloved Newbery Honor Book by Eleanor Estes, this acclaimed musical adaptation masterfully handles suchtopics as bullying, friendship and forgiveness. Packed with humor and filled with colorful characters, The HundredDresses is a timeless tale that explores the bonds of friendship, the willingness to be yourself and the courage that it takesto stand up to others—even when you’re standing alone.

The St. Charles Preparatory School Drama Department is proud to announce its spring musical production, The 25thAnnual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Men’s &Women’s auditions for Spelling Bee…will be held Tuesday andWednesday, March 5 & 6 at 4:00 p.m. at the St. Charles Campus Theater, 2010 East Broad St. Auditions are open toall area high school women in Central Ohio. ATHLETICS

Hockey. The popular St. Charles spring spirit wear sale is available through February 25. This sale has quantitymerchandise from Nike and Under Armour; including golf shirts, shorts, 1/2 zip pullovers, sweatshirts, joggers, baseballhats, visors and more! Order through www.bsnteamsports.com using the access code on the flyer.Proceeds from the sale benefit the St. Charles hockey program. Items will be available in April. Purchased items will bedistributed to the boys during lunch unless alternate arrangements are made. Baseball. The annual Baseball Bash fundraiser will be held Saturday, February 16 at Villa Milano starting at 6:00p.m. Join us for an adults-only evening of food and fun-draising to benefit the St. Charles baseball teams. The eveningincludes dinner, wine pull, and cash bar, plus live and silent auctions with items ranging from an Indians vs Reds getawayto tailgate parties to Cardinals gear and multiple themed baskets. Soccer. St. Charles Soccer Program will hold its annual “Meet the Team Night” on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 7:00p.m. in the Walter Commons. This event provides an opportunity for all incoming St. Charles freshmen who plan to tryout for soccer (and their families) to meet the coaches, players, and families in the program. This will be a chance toreceive all the pertinent information on upcoming summer events and the 2019 season, including captains’ practices,camps, weightlifting and conditioning, tryouts, and fundraising. Join us in officially kicking off our 2019 season and becomea part of something great! Light refreshments and desserts will be provided. Wrestling. The wrestling program is hosting a spring social for parents, alumni, and friends on Friday March 15, from8:00-11:00 p.m. Please see the attachment.

Volleyball. The spring volleyball season is nearly here. All current students interested in playing this spring should talk toCoach Ned Gruber about upcoming open gym opportunities. Coach Gruber is available in room 212 before school androom 403 after school. You can also contact him by phone at (614) 804-7230 or by e-mail at [email protected] begin on March 4. We have never cut a player from the program, so you do not need to feel any anxiety abouttrying a new sport. We want players with no volleyball experience.

Any incoming freshman who is interested in playing a new sport in high school is encouraged to consider volleyball.More than half of our current team members had never played before high school. We do not cut players from theprogram. We are happy to teach you the game if you are willing to put in the time and effort to practice. The volleyballprogram has four teams (freshman, two evenly split junior varsity teams, and varsity), each of which plays a fullcompetitive schedule of 24 matches. We are having open gyms now, and all incoming freshmen are welcome to attend.
