It’s An Addiction For Sure But An Addiction To Please Everyone And Never To Displease Anyone!

Dear Friends, Today we would like to share with you

something unique. We frequently discuss about the activities that encourage how to get rid of any harmful addiction. But on this occasion we would like to share with you as to how one can cultivate a unique addiction and how it will liberate you from those addictions which are harmful not only to your progress but also to your family.

All of us are human-beings and only a human-being can be happy, express his happiness, please others and will be pleased to see others happy!

From today onwards, every morning, we would ask a question to none but ourselves, 'Who do I want to make happy today?' And every evening we would ask another question to ourselves, 'How many have become happy and how much, with our efforts today?'

This will make you realise the amount of

potential that the God has gifted to you with the help of which you can bring smiles on a number of faces. At the end of life, people would not ask how adicted you were, but they would only ask how concered you were.

Being a member of the Samarth Family, we can never promote any bad or harmful habits or addictions at all. Instead of spreading the smoke of cigarettes, we should spread smiles everywhere. Let’s spread the message of good health rather than spreading anything related

to the diseases like cancer that such bad habits invariably bring.

Farmers know for a fact that the tobacco field doesn’t need any fencing

as even the donkeys don’t show any interest in it. How human-beings behave in a manner which is even worse than that of donkeys? Let’s experience and realise that we are human-beings and also make our families realise and experience the same.

At Unit 1 of Samarth Diamond, a seminar for the Floor Managers “Emerging Leader” was organised on November 1 and 2, 2017. As many as 40 Floor Managers of Satlasana Unit participated in it. The following points were highlighted in the seminar:

(1) If you get work out of other Diamond workers, it is your responsibility as well to be the leader. Being a leader is not good enough. To act with responsibility and answerability is equally important. A leader is none other than a layman but he knows various ways and methods to get the work done and also guides others to walk on that path. These qualities are important in a leader: Reliable, Control, Conduct, Inspiration, Capacity or Ability, Reality, Farsightedness, Efficacy, Experience, Guide, Provider of solutions, Good thoughts and the adaptability to change with the changing times and trends.

On the first day, after lunch a ball game was played which taught that it is important to understand a particular work to be able to explain it in a better way to others and if any work is done with cooperation of one another, it can be accomplished in less time and in a better manner. Moreover, the importance as to how one can strike a fine balance between quality and quantity in this era of cut throat competition was also explained in detail.

During the seminar, the famous movie ‘Lagaan’ was shown which threw ample light

on all the important qualities required to be a successful leader. The movie taught how to find a solution even in

a seemingly impossible task, no one should be underestimated, one should be firm on one’s views and decision etc.

On the second day of the seminar, the aspects of Leadership and Inspiration were discussed at length. It was taught how to get work out of a worker easily. The trainer had also discussed about the quality of Self Evaluation and also that if as a leader if you like a particular job, it should be praised and appreciated. For this he had cited the example of the cook of the company.

After lunch, a game was played in which one had to be blindfolded and collect cards with the guidance of some other person. This game taught that it is very important to understand the guidance provided by our guide. Communication between a leader and its team should be very clear and devoid of any kind of questions or queries.

After this, all were given stickers and each manager was asked to give his opinion as to which quality of the other managers he liked. Thus, all came to know about the strengths and weaknesses of one another and that one must develop the qualities lacking in him.

With the good purpose of making the most of the productive time and for an uninterrupted flow of work, all the workers have to leave their mobile phones at their respective residences as a part of a strict Mobile Policy.

During this period of time, the facility of outgoing calls has been made available on the extension number of the unit leader so that if any worker has any emergency or if he needs to contact his home, he may use that facility. To make such outgoing calls, a worker has to dial ‘0’ before dialing the ten digit number.

Note: One should be patient if the line is found to be busy or should try to redial after some time or one should register his number at the reception desk so that

your number can be connected as soon as the line becomes free.

All the workers must make their family members aware about the contact number and the extension number so that it becomes easy and convenient for their friends and relatives to contact you. This service is now available in all the units. The numbers of the company are

RespectTo behave well and in a disciplined manner

with any person is the external form of respect but we will focus on cultivating the internal condition of how to ‘have respect’ for others.

The individuality of everyone is useful and complementary for others. If our attention is drawn towards the qualities, skills and specialties, we would have a natural respect for that person.

It is important to observe the entire conduct of any person and if we do so, we would be able to see his qualities as well such as his helping nature, the sharpness to take decisions, emotional balance, love for the family, love for the nation, interest in spirituality, simplicity, sobriety, generosity, kindness, compassion, love etc. These qualities can’t be viewed but can only be experienced and that experience creates a sense of respect for that person.

Now if we look at this matter on a wider scale or in a wider perspective, we come to realise that every individual or human-being has its own individuality and hence, we must have that inner respect for him however unknown he is to us.

Respect can be expressed in three ways: Respect Towards Work: When a person

do something that we don’t like or something that is not in the interest of the company, we must draw his attention and make him realise about his bad actions. This doesn’t definitely devaluate him or his individuality. On the contrary, he would be inspired to do good actions and give up on his bad actions. Mere

criticism doesn’t fetch one anything in the long run and what would be even worse is that the person would

be inspired to go against us. Respect Towards Thoughts: We should

not be obstinate that the thoughts of others should be similar to those that we possess. In fact, we can know about the good virtues or qualities of others if we have respect towards the thoughts of others. A thought itself is an extremely potent aspect of life and hence just one good thought among a million bad ones has the potential to change the entire style of work, traditions and even institutions. The purpose of our institution ‘Spreading of happiness’ itself is a great thought and it has kept us united with the thread of love and we are able to do many creative activities.

Respect Towards Feelings (Emotions): Feelings differ. One may not feel exactly in the same manner as we do. The earlier we realise this fact, the more respect we will have for others. Every individual has different kinds of feelings towards his work and conduct. These feelings may be improper. Hence, by respecting all the feelings of an individual, we can accept his good feelings.

In the end, what is most important is that we should accept all the workers, working in the institute as a human-being. We should have respect not only towards their work but also towards the thoughts and feelings that they possess for the work. While reading this article, if you have felt any respect towards the writer and publisher of the article and towards the Samarth Family, I would feel that you have succeeded in the evaluation and understanding of the term ‘Respect’ and I respect your understanding. Thanks.

What Is Missing In Life?

A human-being is found to be running here and there right from the moment he steps into the world of responsibility. Sheer running! Do you know why?

This book throws ample light on what we miss in our lives:

Health Management: Stress is the greatest enemy of the mankind today. We take so much of responsibility on our shoulders. Meditation helps us a lot to gain mental relaxation from stress. There is an Arabic Proverb: The one who has health has hopes, the one who has hopes has enthusiasm and the one who has enthusiasm has everything in life.

Anger Management: Anger itself is not an illness but just a symptom of an illness. The actual cause or illness is our Ego and Expectations. Good nature is the greatest wealth of a human-being. If you want to lead a peaceful life with your family and want to achieve success in every field of your life, you must improve your nature.

Relation Management: Researches have proved that the one who maintains sweet and cordial relationships with others, remain healthier and live longer. You must understand at least one thing quite clearly and that is to take up the

The Sunrise of Management in life

responsibility of the outcome of your own actions.

Time Management: The one who can prioritise his work or who can set the priority of his work, understanding his daily schedule

and is also able to spare time from his schedule

can manage time well. In absence of time management, one’s work can’t be done properly and completed on time. This situation results into anger and stress and in turn, these two demons deprive one’s family of love. Life loses its momentum and quality.

Life Management: Life is like a pocketbook. The story on

the pages of one’s birth and death remains common. Mother Nature has left the remaining pages for us to write something on those. It is up to us as to what we write and what we write will make the pocketbook of life either a bestseller or a rough work book. Hence, write your story in the best manner.

Everyone Loves A True Heart! Many qualities need to be cultivated

to be happy in life and the most important of them all is the quality of being true or speaking the truth.

Children being innocent speak the truth but as they mature and gain knowledge, they resort to falsehood.

A child may tell a lie to gain an immediate gain or a gain just in sight but he may have to make a series of lies to hide the first lie he expresses and then it becomes a habit to resort to falsehood in almost every matter.

If this habit is not got rid of in the childhood, it becomes almost impossible to change it when you grow up. Don’t forget that falsehood is the root cause of all the sorrows of life.

Moreover, while telling a lie, your conscience would also feel guilty of doing something wrong. Your face

would assume the expressions of fear. Instead of resorting to falsehood, it is always good to accept your fault or mistake and assure that it will not be repeated again.

This will not only take a big burden off your heart and soul but also enrich your own image or impression in your own eyes.

Everyone loves a true human-being. Society treats with him with respect. A truthful

man is always optimistic and teeming with self-confidence.

This self-confidence results in the successful completion of the work he takes up which is known as a heavenly pleasure.

A truthful human-being is never away from such a pleasure.
