EXODUS 19:9-10

Isaiah 40:1 KJV Comfort ye,

renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint

Exodus 19:9-10 KJV 9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that

the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people

unto the LORD. 10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow,

and let them wash their clothes,

Israel Meeting God:

MOSES WAS TOLD TO SANTIFY THE PEOPLE. THIS MEANT GETTING THEM PHYSICALLY AND

SPIRITUALLY READY TO MEET GOD. THE PEOPLE WERE TO SET THEMSELVES APART

FROM SIN AND EVEN ORDINARY DAILY ROUTINE IN ORDER TO DEDICATE THEMSELVES

TO GOD. THE ACT OF WASHING AND PREPARING SERVED TO GET THEIR MINDS AND

HEART READY. WHEN WE MEET GOD FOR WORSHIP, WE SHOULD SET SIDE THE CARES

AND PREOCCUPATION OF EVERY LIFE.

What is Sanctification?Sanctification has it own meaning from Greek:

Hagiasmos meaning consecration, a separation unto God from profane, secular and carnal use to a sacred

religious and spiritual life. Sin is not necessarily involved in sanctification because the word means setting apart. In the Bible, material things and Holy

persons that are not sinful or that have no old man in them can be and have been sanctified. If sin is not

involved in the person or thing set apart, then no sin is cleansed in the process of setting apart or material

sin and filth are involved in a person or material things to be set apart unto God, then such must be dealt

with to make it presentable to God

Material things have been sanctified without taking an old man (Satan, note f, 2Cor. 5:17) out of them:

1. Bread (1Samuel 21:5)2. The tabernacle and its furniture

(Exodus 29:43-30;29, Lev. 8:10-15) 3. Priest Garment (Lev. 8:30)4. Houses and Lands (Lev. 27:9-29) 5. Meat (1Timothy 4:3-5)

9. Solomon’s Temple and Furniture (2Chr. 7:16-20,29:17-19)

10. Gate (Neh. 3:1)11. Mt. Sinai (Exodus 19:23)12. The Offerings (Exodus 29:27)13. Herod’s Temple (Matthew 23:17)

The same people were sanctified many times, so sanctification cannot be limited to one act. (Exodus 19:14, 22; 28-41; 29:33, 44; 30-29, Lev. 8:30)

Man have sanctified themselves (Lev. 11:44, 20:7) Did they take an old man out of themselves?

The same people that sanctified themselves (Lev. 11:44, 20:7) were also sanctified by Moses (Exodus 19:10-14) and by God (Exodus 29:43-44; 31:13, Lev. 20:8; 21:8; 15, 23, 22:9,16). Which one took the old man out?

Christ, (John 10:36) further sanctified Himself (John 17:17-19)

even the Old Testament Saints, including the

disciples, were sanctified.

PROOFS WHEN SANCTIFICATION

BEGINS

Proofs when sanctification begins:

It begins in God’s plan before Adam (Eph. 1:4), but in experience it begins:

1. When one get Salvation through Sanctification (2 Thess. 2:13,

Romans 1:16) 2. When he receives Christ (1Cor. 1:30)

3. When born again (1John 2:29; 3:7-10; 4:7,17; 5:1-5,18, 1Peter 1:15-23)

4. When one becomes God’s elect through Sanctification (1Peter 1:2-4, Eph. 1:4)

5. When made righteousness (1Cor 1:30, 1John 2:29; 3:7-10; 5:1-5,18)

6. When Created in Holiness ( Eph. 4:24)

7. When the old man (Satan, not f 2Cor. 5:17) is put off (Romans 6, Eph. 4:22-24, Col. 3:8-10, 2Cor. 5:17-18)

8. When one becomes dead to sin (Romans 6)9. When baptized into Christ by the Spirit (Romans

6, 1Cor. 12:13; Gal. 3:27)10.When one ceases to live in sin (Romans 6, 8:12-

13, 1John 3:7-10; 5:1-5,18)11. When he turns from satan to God for forgiveness

of sin. (Acts 26:18)12. When accepted by God (Romans 15:16)

13.When one gets into Christ and is made a new creature (2Cor. 5:17-18)

14. When one becomes Christ’s and crucifies the flesh (Gal. 5:24, Eph. 4:24)

15. When washed from sin and justified (1Cor. 6:11, Eph. 5:25-26, Rev. 1:5)

16. When he becomes one with Christ (Hebrew 2:11, 2Cor. 5:17-19, Romans 8:1-13)

17. When he accepts Christ as an offering for sin (Hebrew 10:4-14, 1Cor. 1:13)

18.When one is cleansed by the blood of Christ (Hebrew 10:29, 1John 1:7-9)

19.When saved to the uttermost and from satan (Hebrew 7:25, 1John 3:8-10; 5:18)

20. When Redeemed (Luke 1:68-77, 1Cor. 1:30, Hebrew 9:12-15, 1Peter 1:18-23)
