More than 100 farmers of the area partici- pated in the event. About 3,000 animals were brought to the camp by the farmers. Dr. Parul Gupta, Scientist (Animal Science) of KVK, Rajouri coordinated the camp wherein Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Rajesh Agarwal and Dr. Sharad Kumar experts from F. V. Sc., SKUAST-J, R S Pura and Dr. Ashish Mahajan from Department of Sheep Husbandry were the resource persons. Veterinary Clinical Camp was organised upon the demand raised by the locals and Neelam Kumari, Sarpanch of Solki. During the camp a large number of locals brought their cattle and other domestic animals for treatment of various dis- eases and ailments. Doctors observed that most of the animals were suffering from malnutrition and heavy load of worms. Team of experts administered the doses of dewormers on the spot and also provided dewormers free of cost to all the farmers. Moreover, feed supplements for balanced ration were also distributed among the farm- ers. Dr. Parul Gupta advised the visiting farmers to take proper care of their animals and add feed supplements in their diet for increasing milk production. Dr. Vishal Sharma, Scientist (Agronomy) advised the farmers to adopt Integrated Farming System for increas- ing farm income and sustain- able farming. Rhul Singh , Mohd. The workshop was organ- ised for the dissemination of information about various schemes of the central and State Governments for wel- fare of scheduled caste/scheduled Tribe popu- lation. Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said schemes like National ST/SC Hub are envisaged to impart entre- preneurial skills to ST/SC population to enable them to establish the MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises). He said NSSH can play a pivotal role in socio-economic development of these marginalized com- munities and bring them at par with the mainstream. He said under capacity building initiative of NSSH programme, around 2,000 SC/ST entrepreneurs will be imparted skill training by skill councils for establishing enterprises by formulating clusters. He said in order to give upward flip to the business of MSEs owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs, the govern- ment has mandated 4 per cent of total procurement by central Ministries, Departments and CPSEs from these MSEs. The Dy CEO KVIB briefed the tribal population about the benefits entailed under various self employment schemes and flagship pro- grammes for inclusion of marginalized communities in developmental process. He also gave knowledge of eligi- bility criteria and other parameters fixed by policy makers. District Officer KVIB Rajouri & Poonch gave a power point presentation on the benefits to various self employment schemes like Prime Ministers Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and flagship programmes of Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme. It was also given out that district Rajouri & Poonch have recorded highest number of cases under PMEGP. He said under capacitybuilding initiative of NSSHprogramme, around 2,000SC/ST entrepreneurs will beimparted skill training byskill councils for establishingenterprises by formulatingclusters.

of MSEs owned by SC/STentrepreneurs, the govern-ment has mandated 4 percent of total procurement bycentral Ministries,Departments and CPSEsfrom these MSEs.
