Dr Sharma further said that Modi and its BJP strongly opposed much pop- ular schemes of Dr Manmohan Singh such as MNREGA, Aadhaar, GST and FDI and termed as dis- astrous and big failures of Dr Manmohan Singh's gov- ernment but after taking over as PM, Modi suddenly started praising these schemes and adopted one by one and now celebrating as his big achievements . The GST which was delayed by Modi and BJP wrong poli- tics for more than ten years and which was fixed at a rate of 14 per cent, Modi is going to impose upto 28 per cent and without any proper preparation and framework going is to be biggest failure such as demonetisation. Dr Sharma further accused government of BJP in Center as well as in State of first criticising all the good and popular schemes of UPA and now taking credit for the same schemes and projects. He asked BJP to either tender apolo- gy to people of country for misleading or accept the wrong and disastrous prop- aganda against Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA. Instead of celebrations, BJP should introspect its failure: Manohar STATE TIMES NEWS KISHTWAR: Much famous Shri Hudh Mata Yatra which is also known as Trisandhaya Yatra left for Soundar, Dachan from Sarkoot Mandir Kishtwar in which large number of devotees from all walks of life participated with religious fervour and enthusiasm on Wednesday. The Chhari Yatra will be taken from Radha Krishan Mandir Sounder on 29th June towards Virat-Mata Mandir Dilgoot (Panjdhara). After a night halt there, the Yatra along with Chhari Mubarak will proceed towards Gokooth on 30th June and on 1st July, the Yatra shall reach Kaikooth where devotees can have pious bath in Braham Sarovar and the holy waters of Trisandhaya Nadi (River) which flows from the top of a hill near famous Brahma peak thrice a day and miraculously dries up. Elaborating on the Yatra, a reli- gious leader said that the Shrine of Shri Trisandhaya Mata is next in reverence to the Shrine of Amarnath in Srinagar. In that Shrine Ice Shiv Limgam is formed naturally and here in this Shrine water flows from the top of a hill near famous Brahma Peak thrice a day, i.e. morning, noon and evening, though occasionally. " The water flows and stops natu- rally when there is no pond or lake on the hill top where from the water could spill and come out ?," he explained. On the last day of Yatra, Hawan will mark the end of Yatra, the devotees after performing Darshan of Shri Hudh Mata and offering Puran Aahuti shall start their return journey. The meeting was attended by various district officers and bankers from different bank branches of the district. STATE TIMES NEWS R S PURA : A large number of locals led by Beopar Mandal President Miransahib Surender Choudhary held a protest against Power Development Department (PDD) and blocked the Jammu - RS Pura Road at Miransahib for one hour. The protesters strongly criticised the department for unscheduled power cuts and making the life of people mis- erable during this scorching heat. They said that the repeated requests to the con- cerned engineers of the department have gone unat- tended due to which the peo- ple are forced to block the road. Beopar Mandal President Surender Choudhary, former Sarpanch Comrade Kishore, Manohar Lal Saraf, Chander Prakash, Jagdish Raj, Chaman Lal and others said that Dy CM and PDD Minister Dr Normal K Singh during his visit to this area last year had made a commit- ment to install 10 MVA transformer which already stands sanctioned, but no action was taken by him in this direction. The protesters said that till such time the authorities install the new transformer, they will con- tinue to block the road for one hour daily. STATE TIMES NEWS BHADARWAH: In a shock- ing incident, two animals including a cow and a horse died on the spot due to elec- tric shock of a Low Tension (LT) line at Kotli area near New Bus Stand Bhadarwah on Wednesday. Irked over the alleged irre- sponsible and pathetic atti- tude of Power Development Department (PDD), people demanded stern action against the officials for put- ting the life of humans and cattle at risk, as within 12 hours a cow and a horse died of electric shock reportedly due to careless attitude of PDD officials despite being informed by the locals about tourists rush in the area. According to reports, the cow which belonged to one Bobby Khan of Mohalla Qilla was grazing near Ashapati Hotel in Kotli. As soon as the cow went near an electric pole she received an electric shock of an LT feeder. After a couple of hours a horse owned by Munna Ganai of village Sungli too received shock from adjoining pole. Both the cow and horse died on spot. People blamed PDD offi- cials for the loss and demanded that responsibili- ty should be fixed to AEE Sanjay Wakhloo for his care- less attitude despite being informed several times. Neeraj Singh Manhas, District President Panthers Party said, "PDD officials at Bhadarwah seem to be least bothered about the human life as a few days back my 4 year-old son Swastik, had a narrow escape and was hos- pitalised for several days after receiving electric shock from the pole outside my house at Atalgarh." Manhas demanded that PDD officials should be booked for their careless attitude and a high level inquiry should be initiated at the earliest. When contacted SHO Bhadarwah, Jatinder Singh Sambyal,while confirming the incident said that, the Dept started investigation, as of now, postmortem of the dead animals is going on and we are waiting for the report. Two animals die due to electric shock, people seek action against PDD STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: Deputy District Election Officer, Sapna Kotwal on Wednesday held a meeting with all the EROs, AEROs and various nodal offi- cers of the district to discuss the implementation of special drive to enroll the left out electors especially in the age group of 18-21 at Conference Hall, DC Complex. During the meeting, it was informed that the special drive for enrolling the left out electors would begin from July 01 to July 31 2017 and the preparatory work would include analysis of the data of format 1 to 8 in order to find out major gaps in terms of E/P ratio of 18-19 year age groups. Submission of form-6 at ERO's office , sending of forms by post and online submission at NVSP would be done before July 31, 2017. It was further informed that special camps would be held on 9th July and 23 July 2017. During the meeting, the Deputy DEO asked the EROs to ensure that all the enrolment forms are disposed off within the stipulated time period. Besides the EROs and AEROs were directed to consti- tute a Complaint redressal cell at their levels. All the EROs and AEROs were also asked to organize training for BLOs at Tehsil level before July 01, 2017. In addition to this, the Deputy DEO directed them to send proposal for the creation of new or Auxiliary Polling sta- tions in areas where the Electors have to travel more than 2 km to cast their votes and where their number exceeds 1200 within a week's time. Implementation of electors enrollment drive reviewed STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: Excise Department Udhampur- Reasi Range in collabora- tion with J&K Wine Traders and Hotel and Restaurant Association on Wednesday organised an anti-drug abuse rally under Social Responsibility Programme . The main objective of organising the rally was to generate awareness among common masses especially youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse. According to a report, R S Pura Police on a specific information conducted a raid in village Rangpur Sidhrey and apprehended two persons who were illegally selling J and K Excise Liquor Pouches in Karyana Shop. Police also recovered 43 pouches of excise liquor from their possession. They arrested accused were identified as Sardari Lal son of Karan Chand and Krishan Lal son of Sardari Lal both residents of Rangpur Sidhrey. A case vide FIR- 138/17 under section 48 (a) Excise Act was registered against them in Police Station R S Pura. Man injured in bear attack STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: A man was injured when he was attacked by a wild bear at Mandi on Wednesday. As per the details, Mohd Hissain son of Naik Mohd res- ident of Dingla Chandak was attacked by a wild bear at Gali Maidan Sawjian, when he was out of his seasonal house thus injuring him. On listening to his cries, locals raised the alarm, threw stones thus fasci- nating to escape. He was referred to hospital where he got 70 stitches on his head and abdomen. Locals of the area said Wild Life Department is responsible of this incident as there are repeated incidents talking place in area and department has failed to act. SDM Nowshera Harbans Sharma chaired the camp while Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Rajouri and Tehsildar Nowshera Mohd Raiyaz BDO Nowshera, AEEs and other sectoral heads of the PHE, PDD RDD, PWD Social Welfare, Health, ICDS, Agriculture, School Education, Horticulture, Cooperative and other Departments were present. A large number of people hailing from villages Langar , Ganya, Manpur, Dhanaka, Chowki and adjoining areas participated in the camp and put forth their grievances related to better road connec- tivity, supply of ration , scarcity of water in Langar, Ganya Chowki, Manpur, Dhanaka , power supply, education, healthcare, vet- erinary centre facilities and other issues pertaining to Revenue and Rural Development Department . Responding to the issues raised by the people, SDM gave on spot directions to the officers of the concerned department for redressal of the grievances put forth by the public. He added that the public grievances redressal camp being organised by the government is an ideal step to redress problems faced by the citizens and provide them information about govern- ment- run schemes. During the meeting,it was informed that the specialdrive for enrolling the left outelectors would begin from July01 to July 31 2017 and thepreparatory work wouldinclude analysis of the data offormat 1 to 8 in order to findout major gaps in terms of E/Pratio of 18-19 year age groups.

Submission of form-6 atERO's office , sending of formsby post and online submissionat NVSP would be done beforeJuly 31, 2017. It was further

informed that special campswould be held on 9th July and23 July 2017.

During the meeting, theDeputy DEO asked the EROsto ensure that all the enrolmentforms are disposed off withinthe stipulated time period.

Besides the EROs andAEROs were directed to consti-tute a Complaint redressal cellat their levels. All the EROsand AEROs were also asked toorganize training for BLOs atTehsil level before July 01,2017.

In addition to this, theDeputy DEO directed them tosend proposal for the creationof new or Auxiliary Polling sta-tions in areas where theElectors have to travel morethan 2 km to cast their votesand where their numberexceeds 1200 within a week'stime.
