KEEP MEENROLMENTSEnrolments are welcome throughout the year.Once you are enrolled onto your course, confirmation should follow. New this year: On-line payments will be available through our website: adult-education.parksidefederation.org.uk/ along with full course information.We also accept bookings over the phone, have your credit/debit card to hand.Enrolments via email MUST NOT contain card payment details.Postal enrolments with fees are welcome (please DO NOT send cash)Courses with fewer than the relevant number of learners may have the option of continuing on payment of a supplementary fee or length of the course reducing.

FEESFees are payable in FULL when you enrol. We accept all major debit and credit cards, cheques, or cash (in person).Refunds will only be paid in full when a class is closed at the discretion of the College, or if you cancel your enrolment at least two weeks before the course starts. If you decide to cancel less than two weeks before the course starts you will receive a 50% refund. Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund if a course has already started.Please note should you choose to withdraw from the course you will still be liable to pay any outstanding instalments.If the course is cancelled, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a refund. Concessionary fees are only available if you: are in receipt of the “Guaranteed Credit” element of the Pension Credit / have an income equivalent to the Government low income threshold / are in receipt of JSA or ESA. Proof must be shown at enrolment, otherwise the full fee will be charged, concessionary prices are advertised in the main programme.Loyal Learners receive 5% discount towards the cost of any course in the 2018/19 academic year, to qualify for the discount full payment must be received before the enrolment deadline. For full terms and conditions contact the office.Course materials or resources are wherever possible included in the cost of the course, however some courses will require learners to purchase additional resources. Please check your course description carefully for full details.

We are pleased to introduce you to a wide range of courses, training programmes and leisure activities which Parkside Federation Academies will be offering in 2018–19. You will find these courses at venues across Cambridge City. We are here to help you find the right learning for you; whether it is for work purposes, mental stimulation, physical wellbeing or all three!

Our courses are listed by the title and run in the daytime, evening and weekends, throughout the year.

If you do decide to enrol, you can be sure that the course or activity you choose will be a high quality experience, run by a well-qualified tutor, well-resourced and in top quality facilities. We hope to see you in 2018–19.

Many of our classes fill quickly, early enrolment is advised.

Saturday and Weekend courses. Booking in advance is essential to avoid disappointment; contact the office to secure your place. A perfect unique gift idea and a nice way to spend time with friends or family. Gift vouchers are available.Most Saturday / Weekend courses include a materials fee but please check the course description for extra fees / materials needed for the day.Unless otherwise stated all courses are open to beginners and those with prior experience.If you require accessible parking or support to access the class please contact the college prior to the class.You will need to bring a packed lunch!

FEESFees are payable in FULL when you enrol. We accept all major debit and credit cards, cheques, or cash (in person).Refunds will only be paid in full when a class is closed at the discretion of the College, or if you cancel your enrolment at least two weeks before the course starts. If you decide to cancel less than two weeks before the course starts you will receive a 50% refund. Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund if a course has already started.Please note should you choose to withdraw from the course you will still be liable to pay any outstanding instalments.If the course is cancelled, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a refund. Booking ProcessAssessment before enrolment is necessary to establish your level.

Please note a £5 charge is payable at the time of assessment. Where there is a charge for your course, this cost is redeemable against your course fee.

Photo ID is required on the day of assessment.

Please bring with you any evidence of prior learning (certificates).

Assessments take approximately 1 hour each to complete.

English and Maths (NOT suitable for English as a foreign language)Our English and Maths for adults courses give you the chance to:

• Brush up your skills

• Gain a qualification in English or maths

• Plug a gap in your CV and improve your job prospects

These courses are fully funded if you meet the criteria and you can join at any time of the year subject to places being available.

Learners will need to attend 90% of sessions to access full ESFA funding.

GCSE English and MathsLearners who are 19+ on 31st August 2018 and don’t have a “C” grade/new grade 4 or above in English or maths might be eligible for full funding. Learners will need to complete an assessment of eligibility, undertake an initial diagnostic assessment and are required to sign a learner agreement form.

Please note: The GCSE courses include some Saturday and Sunday sessions - attendance is required.

Booking ProcessAssessment before enrolment is necessary to establish your level.

Please note a £5 charge is payable at the time of assessment. Where there is a charge for your course, this cost is redeemable against your course fee.

Photo ID is required on the day of assessment.

Please bring with you any evidence of prior learning (certificates).

Assessments take approximately 1 hour each to complete.

English and Maths (NOT suitable for English as a foreign language)Our English and Maths for adults courses give you the chance to:

• Brush up your skills

• Gain a qualification in English or maths

• Plug a gap in your CV and improve your job prospects

These courses are fully funded if you meet the criteria and you can join at any time of the year subject to places being available.

Learners will need to attend 90% of sessions to access full ESFA funding.

GCSE English and MathsLearners who are 19+ on 31st August 2018 and don’t have a “C” grade/new grade 4 or above in English or maths might be eligible for full funding. Learners will need to complete an assessment of eligibility, undertake an initial diagnostic assessment and are required to sign a learner agreement form.

Please note: The GCSE courses include some Saturday and Sunday sessions - attendance is required.

Booking ProcessAssessment before enrolment is necessary to establish your level.

Please note a £5 charge is payable at the time of assessment. Where there is a charge for your course, this cost is redeemable against your course fee.

Photo ID is required on the day of assessment.

Please bring with you any evidence of prior learning (certificates).

Assessments take approximately 1 hour each to complete.

English and Maths (NOT suitable for English as a foreign language)Our English and Maths for adults courses give you the chance to:

• Brush up your skills

• Gain a qualification in English or maths

• Plug a gap in your CV and improve your job prospects

These courses are fully funded if you meet the criteria and you can join at any time of the year subject to places being available.

GCSE English and MathsLearners who are 19+ on 31st August 2018 and don’t have a “C” grade/new grade 4 or above in English or maths might be eligible for full funding. Learners will need to complete an assessment of eligibility, undertake an initial diagnostic assessment and are required to sign a learner agreement form.

Booking ProcessAssessment before enrolment is necessary to establish your level.

Please note a £5 charge is payable at the time of assessment. Where there is a charge for your course, this cost is redeemable against your course fee.

Photo ID is required on the day of assessment.

Please bring with you any evidence of prior learning (certificates).

Assessments take approximately 1 hour each to complete.

English and Maths (NOT suitable for English as a foreign language)Our English and Maths for adults courses give you the chance to:

• Brush up your skills

• Gain a qualification in English or maths

• Plug a gap in your CV and improve your job prospects

These courses are fully funded if you meet the criteria and you can join at any time of the year subject to places being available.

Learners will need to attend 90% of sessions to access full ESFA funding.

GCSE English and MathsLearners who are 19+ on 31st August 2018 and don’t have a “C” grade/new grade 4 or above in English or maths might be eligible for full funding. Learners will need to complete an assessment of eligibility, undertake an initial diagnostic assessment and are required to sign a learner agreement form.

Please note: The GCSE courses include some Saturday and Sunday sessions - attendance is required.

Learners will need to attend 90% of sessions to access ESFA funding.

EFL: English as a Foreign LanguageThese courses are for people who do not have English as their first language.

Basic English classes: Learners should be able to understand basic sentences. There is no exam attached to this course.

PET: Intermediate / Entry 3 / B1 FCE: Upper Intermediate / Level 1 / B2CAE: Advanced / Level 2 / C1CPE: Proficiency / Level 2 and over / C2IELTS: Suitable for learners who already score at least an IELTS level 5.5 / Level 1/ B2

Modern Foreign LanguagesAll levels of Languages run over 30 weeks (10 weeks per term). Learners are able to re-enrol/progress with their learning termly. Those with prior learning can join the course at any time after consultation with the tutor.

FEESFees are payable in FULL when you enrol. We accept all major debit and credit cards, cheques, or cash (in person).Refunds will only be paid in full when a class is closed at the discretion of the College, or if you cancel your enrolment at least two weeks before the course starts. If you decide to cancel less than two weeks before the course starts you will receive a 50% refund. Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund if a course has already started.Please note should you choose to withdraw from the course you will still be liable to pay any outstanding instalments.If the course is cancelled, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a refund. Concessionary fees are only available if you: are in receipt of the “Guaranteed Credit” element of the Pension Credit / have an income equivalent to the Government low income threshold / are in receipt of JSA or ESA.
