FIRST AID TRAINING

The unit HLTFA301C Apply first aid is a requirement for this training course, however this unit has expired and been replaced by HLTFA311A Apply first aid. We are not permitted by the packaging rules for CPP20211 Certificate II in Security Operations to substitute the new HLTFA311A Apply first aid course for the HLTFA301C Apply first aid unit.

To ensure that our participants obtain the highest standard of training possible, we have elected to develop a first aid course that meets the need of both of these first aid units of competency. Thus graduates from our first aid course will be recognized as competent in HLTFA301C Apply first aid for the CPP20211 Certificate II in Security Operations course and issued with a statement of attainment for HLTFA311A Apply first aid.

This will ensure that the requirements for CPP20211 Certificate II in Security Operations are met and ensure that our candidates have the latest in first aid training.

If the candidates have obtained either the HLTFA301C Apply first aid or HLTFA311A Apply first aid unit of competency externally, within the last 12 months or, have completed either of these units within the last three years and have completed a HLTCPR201B Perform CPR or HLTCPR211A Perform CPR within the last 12 months are able to seek an exemption from the first aid training.

Candidates seeking an exemption are to provide a certified copy of the relevant statements of attainment for the units in which they are seeking an exemption to Allies Security Services. These documents will be investigated to confirm accuracy by Allies staff; the candidates will be notified of the results of the investigation and their exemption status.
