Firmware Release 80/02I –Granta MK3 Controller 4101-3 This SPLN is to advise that the firmware 80/02I has now been released for the 4101-3 controller, 4102-3 Sub Assembly, and 4103-3 Motherboard.

This firmware includes new features as detailed below as well as several fixes to previous versions:

• Soft Anti-Passback

• Timed Re-Entry

• Dual Custody

• Supervisory Mode

• Occupancy Limit

• Reader Lockdown

• Increased Number Of Zones

• Increased Offline Buffers

New features• Soft Anti-Passback

Allows the user access in accordance with their access rights, but when an Anti-Passback violation occurs, the user is still granted access, and a violation message is sent to the head end where configured.(Configured via new Zone Configuration command)

• Timed Re-EntryLimits the re-use of a card at a reader (zone) within a specified time period(Configured via new Zone Configuration command)

• Dual CustodyLimits access to a door unless two cardholders that have sufficient rights to that door badge their cards within a specified time period.(Configured via new Access Point Mode command)

• Supervisory ModeEnables the authorising of a card that does not have access to a door (insufficient access rights) by the use of a Supervisor card also being badged.(Configured via new Access Point Mode command)

• Zone Occupancy LimitEach Zone now has the ability to have a maximum number of occupants, when the limit is reached further entries are denied.(Configured via new Zone Configuration command)

• Increased Number Of ZonesMaximum number of zones now increased to 1024(Configured via existing configuration command)

• Guard Access LevelEach zone can be configured with a specific Guard Access Level so that Anti-Passback and Occupancy limits will not apply to the Guard.Note that the Guard will still be included within the occupancy count.(Configured via new Zone Configuration command)

• Reader LockdownThe reader is blocked for use (secured) but any attempt to use the reader or egress is alerted to the head end.(Configured via new Access Point Mode command)

• Increased Offline BuffersTransaction buffer has now been increased to hold 100,000 eventsAlarm (priority) buffer has now been increased to hold 25,000 events(Configuration not required)

New feature notes:

A full list of the operation and commands for the new features is available via TCC, this list also includes additional commands required for status, reporting, queries etc used in association with the above listed commands.

Please note that these features are only available using the Granta sequence files.

Please note that all units from stock will be delivered with the new 80/02I firmware.

Firmware Update Compatibility:

The 80/02I firmware has been approved with the SiPass integrated firmware 2.55.23.To migrate to SiPass integrated; this approved firmware must be used.

Both these firmwares are designed such that they cannot be downgraded to an earlier version.

Each approved firmware can be reloaded on the controller, i.e. SiPass to SiPass, Granta to GrantaEach approved firmware can be changed on the controller, i.e. SiPass to Granta, Granta to SiPass
