The coalition engages people with disabilities through a variety of services and outreach, in-cluding regular coalition meetings with special guest speakers and legislative and education updates. The coalition also sends out newslet-ters and alerts on issues important to the dis-ability community, and provides training and workshop opportunities to help participants with skill building and independent living. KCPC doesn’t just provide support to people with dis-abilities; it strengthens their families as well, providing parent mentoring for caregivers, and volunteer advocates for special education issues.

Lutheran Community Services of the NW has recently been awarded 50 additional family
slots in the Pacific Northwest Region. We will soon be serving 125 Navy families. This
new process is meant to decrease the family wait time for services, while expanding the
number of families we serve. It also means we need to increase the number of families
seeking Respite through the Child Care Aware of America (formerly NACCRRA) waitlist.
Come meet our staff, collect valuable literature, discover the FACTS.
Please pass this flyer to someone you think might benefit from learning more about this in-
credible program. All are welcome especially Active Duty or Civilian Contractors serving
Navy EFMP families in the Pacific North West Region.
