SUMMARY FOR SEPTEMBER, 2011
1.0 EXPLORATION/DRILLING ACTIVITIES
Only SPDC, MOBIL,TOTAL E&P, CHEVRON & PANOCEAN carried out exploration/drilling activities this month. Drilling
was carried out on 16 wells (Table1.0)
2.0 CRUDE OIL AND CONDENSATE
2.1 Production: Available total non-fiscalised production is 46.52 million barrels . Production figure from NPDC and
some PSC and Independent companies were not submitted.
MONTHLY PETROLEUM INFORMATION (MPI – September, 2011)iii
some PSC and Independent companies were not submitted.
Fiscalised production total for the month was 71.82 million barrels representing 2.39 million barrels per day. This is
3.86% lower than the August production of 74.70 million barrels or 2.41 million barrels per day.
2.2 Lifting (Domestic and Export)
Total crude oil and condensates lifting for both domestic and export was about 67.04 million barrels. Oil companies lifted
33.98 million barrels (50.69%), while NNPC lifted 33.06 million barrels (49.31%).
Lifting by fiscal regime shows 40.07, 22.47, and 4.50 million barrels for JVC, PSC/SC, and other regimes respectively.
Out of NNPC’s liftings, 26.17 million barrels was for Federation Account, while 6.88 million barrels was for domestic use.
These are shown in Table i and the corresponding chart on the next page. Individual company liftings are also shown in
