Greenville Public Library September 2019 Newsletter •••imagine the possibilities••• Our parking lot project is moving along quite nicely. We will need to be closed from Sunday, September 22nd through Sunday, October 6th, planning to reopen Monday, October 7th. Sundays will resume in October, with the date to be announced. I have included a question and answer section that may help you navigate our limited library services. Follow us on Facebook or check our website for updates as well as activities our library staff will be hosting outside of the library. I also want to thank you for your patience as we prepare for easier and safer access to our library. A messAge from LibrAry Director Dorothy swAin Will my items be overdue? thursDAy, sePtember 19th At 6:30 PmJournalist and dairymaid Lucille Benoit speaks about the current crisis for small dairy farms and the importance of public awareness, consumer knowledge and constructive debate for the survival of dairy farms, cows and sustainable local food production. Highlights of the presentation include industrial food production, the loss of local dairy processing plants, A1 and A2 cows and the link to lactose intolerance, as well as the benefits of milk and honey to reduce allergies. Kindergarten CountdownChildren who will be attending Kindergarten in the fall of 2020 are invited to a special series of story times at the library. We will be counting down to Kin-dergarten, from October to June, with stories, crafts, and activities! Register today in the children’s room or by phone at 949-3630 x3. For our first Kindergarten Countdown, we will be meeting at the East Smithfield Library on Thursday, October 3 at 6:30 pm.
