1. Terms and conditions of the statutory warrantyStatutory warranty periods: The statutory warranty valid at the time of delivery applies to all models.

In addition to the above-mentioned claims under warranty, the buyer's statutory rights arising from the seller's liability for material defects are unaffected. These rights have the following conditions:• Initial manufacturing, material or instructional error.• The cause of the change or failure or damage to the product is not normal wear or normal ageing.• The damage was not caused by use of the bike for other than the intended purpose.• The seller handed over the product to the buyer no more than two years previously.

The following are excluded from liability for material defects:• Damage caused by improper use or force majeure.• All parts subject to function-related wear and tear or ageing to a normal, expected extent, unless this is the result of

excessive wear and tear or a defect in workmanship or materials.• Damagecausedbyincorrectorinsufficientcareandunprofessionalrepairs,conversionsorreplacementofcomponents

on the bike.• Accident damage or damage caused by other external factors, providing this is not attributable to incorrect instructions

or a product error.• Repairs or damage resulting from repair.

The following are considered wear parts under the statutory warranty:• Tyres • Rims in connection with rim brakes• Brake pads• Bike chains• Chain wheels, sprockets, bottom brackets and jockey wheels• Handlebar tapes • Hydraulic oils and lubricants• Gear-shift and brake cables• Paintfinishes• Bearings• Sliding bearings• DI2/EPS battery

2. Terms and conditions of the warranty

Conditions for claim under warranty:• Since 1 January 2004, every Cervélo SA (Cervélo) bike frame purchased after this date comes with a warranty

from Cervélo SA against defects in workmanship and materials, provided that the original owner is still in possession of the frame; paintwork and stickers excluded.

• Claims under the warranty must be made via an authorised Cervélo dealer. Claims can only be processed if the claimant provides Cervélo with proof of purchase and has registered the product online at http://www.cervelo.com/en/support/register-a-bike.html.

• The Cervélo warranty guidelines only apply to Cervélo products purchased from authorised Cervélo dealers.

The following are excluded from the warranty:• Damage caused by normal wear and tear, incorrect assembly and servicing.• Damage caused by installation of parts and/or accessories which are originally not intended for use with the purchased frame or bicycle and/or which are incompatible with them.

4. Service intervalsTo ensure continued enjoyment of your bike, please adhere to the service intervals.This is also important for the following reasons:

• Regular checks are worth it for the sake of your own safety.• Higher resale value, because the bike had been regularly serviced.• Regular servicing saves you major repairs.• Less likely to break down.• Longer life.• Peace of mind that your bike is safe and comfortable.

Please note that these service activities are not free of charge, as these are normal service intervals.

For your own safety, have the items listed under service intervals 2–12 checked every additional 6 months.
