Wednesday, January 9th - 10:00 – Noon Community Hospice and Palliative Care is offering the first of what
will be quarterly presentations at their Neviaser Educational
Institute, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Bldg. 100, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
SUPPLEMENTAL ADVENTURES IN LEARNING (SAIL) The topic
will be “The Threat of Pandemic Influenza.” Please RSVP to the
office to attend this program. SCOOP is very excited about this new
opportunity to have additional education opportunities. Future
quarterly dates are as follows: April 3, 2019, June 26, 2019 and
October 16, 2019.

SCOOP website, www.tscoop.org. ATTENTION: CLASS REGISTRATION INFORMATION Due to the popular response to some of our limited enrollment classes we will be having a lottery for class space. Anyone interested in such a class (marked by “pre-registration required” on the registration form) should sign up prior to January 4, 2019. Payment is not due with pre-registration. On January 7, 2019, names will be drawn for the available slots for the class, and members will be notified either way if they have a seat in the class. Any member who does not have a seat during this session will be given first right of refusal for a seat for the next session. Any remaining seats for that session will be handled via lottery.
The Golden Years Gala celebrates and recognizes senior adults in Clay County for
their volunteer services. The Gala is May 1, 2019. We are currently seeking nominations for Volunteer Man of the Year, Volunteer Woman of the Year and
Lifetime Achievement Award. Nominees much be at least 60 years old and volunteer in Clay County. Please visit the website for a nomination form or call
the office and a form will be mailed to you.
