The FABRICATOR en Español – Editorial Mission / Biography

If you are reading this, you have an interest in reaching the Mexican manufacturer. That’s a smart idea.

Everyone realizes that Mexico is quickly becoming one of the major automotive manufacturing hubs of the world. Kia, Nis-san, Mercedes, and BMW all plan to build plants in the country in the coming years. Mexican officials estimated that it’s part of a $20 billion investment in the country—just to make vehicles.

But you would be wrong to think that the automakers’ move is just to take advantage of lower labor costs, which, of course, is a part of it. Mexico has taken steps to ensure that most of the world has access to its manufactured products.

With signed free trade agreements with more than 40 coun-tries, Mexico has more open trade pacts that any other coun-try in the world. For the record, the U.S. has managed to sign agreements with only 20 countries.

The secret is out: Mexico is the world’s manufacturing hub. It has access to the No. 1 consumer economy, and it is a platform to reach most of the other major economies of the world. The country is investing in infrastructure to support the movement of goods and producing the technical talent to support the ex-panding manufacturing economy. (Experts suggest that more than 100,000 Mexican students graduate with engineering and technical degrees each year.)

The FABRICATOR en Español is positioned to help you be a part of this exciting growth. Reaching 20,000 manufacturers in Mexico, the publication has emerged as a trusted source of technological information and process improvement ideas.

Some comments from the publication’s 2015 readership sur-vey illustrate this relationship between Mexican manufacturers and The FABRICATOR en Español:

• “The best practices for punching and bending.”• “It is a very important technical resource for making

decisions to purchase equipment and to implement processes.”• “A quick way to be updated on the manufacturing process.”In 2016 The FABRICATOR en Español will continue its com-

mitment to featuring the best technical content in the Mexican market. Several leading experts on bending and metal forming will make regular appearances in the publication.

Mexico’s manufacturing expansion will continue, and The FABRICATOR en Español promises to be there in support of this very important occurrence.
