1. Center and sew the 2" x 41" black/cream print strips to the long sides of the Sew Scary panel. Press seams toward the strips. Trim strip ends even with the top and bottom edges of the panel. Center and stitch the 2" x 26½" strips to the top and bottom. Press seams toward the strips.

2. Trim the framed panel to 25½" x 42½" with the panel centered in the frame.

3. Measure the 4¾" x WOF cream strips. If at least 42½" long, trim 2 strips to 42½" and 2 strips to 34". If not 42½" long, sew all 4 strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (2) 42½" strips and (2) 34" strips. Sew the 42½" strips to the long sides of the framed panel and the 34" strips to the top and bottom. Press seams toward the strips.

4. Sew the (3) 1¾" x WOF orange dots strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (2) 51" strips. Stitch the 51" strips to the long sides of the quilt center. Press seams toward the strips. Sew the 6" x 36½" “HAPPY” strip to the top of the quilt center and the 1¾" x 36½" orange dots strip to the bottom. Press seams toward the strips.

5. Sew 2 identical 4" x approximately 32" cream/black print strips short ends together to make a long strip, matching the print at the seam as much as possible. Press seam to 1 side. Trim strip to 57¾" for outer left border. Repeat with 2 remaining identical strips to make the right border. Stitch the border to the long sides of the quilt center. Press seams toward the strips.

6. Stitch the 4" x 43½" cream/black print strips to the top and bottom of the quilt center to complete the top. Press seams toward the strips.

7. Remove the selvage edges from the backing pieces. Sew the pieces together on the long edges with a ½" seam allowance. Press seam open. Trim the side edges to make a 49" x 70" backing piece. Set aside trimmed-off fabric for triangle and/or letter backing.

8. Layer the quilt top with the backing and a 49" x 70" piece of batting. Pin or baste to hold. Quilt as desired. Trim batting and backing even with the top.

9. Prepare binding and bind the edges using your favorite method and the black swirls binding strips to complete the quilt.

Dimensional Embellishments:

1. Bottom Triangles. Place a front flag triangle right sides together with a back triangle. Stitch around the colored edges of the layered triangles, leaving a 3" opening on the short top edge. Clip seam allowance at the corners. Turn right side out through the opening, poking out the corners. Turn the opening seam allowance ¼" to the inside. Press edges. Machine-stitch ⅛" from edges all around to complete 1 triangle. Repeat to make 5 triangles total. Note: If not using printed triangles for backs, place the front triangles right sides together with the leftover backing fabric or black/cream print. Pin to hold. Cut out backings.

2. Place the bound quilt right side down. Center the short top edge of a triangle right side down on the bottom edge of the quilt with the short top edge of the triangle overlapping ⅛" onto the quilt binding. Pin in place. Repeat with 2 triangles on each side of the center triangle, spacing 1" apart. Hand-stitch the top edge of each triangle to the back of the binding to finish.

3. Halloween Swag. Place the letter pieces right sides together with the leftover backing fabric or black/cream print. Pin to hold. Cut out backings. Stitch around the edges of each letter using a ¼" seam allowance, leaving a 2" opening on 1 side edge. Clip corners and turn right side out through the opening. Turn the opening seam allowance ¼" to the inside. Press edges. Machine-stitch 1/8" from edges all around to complete the letters.

4. Arrange letters to spell “HALLOWEEN.” Using black yarn, 6 strands of embroidery floss or pearl cotton, make several small stitches at the top corners of each letter to connect. Hand-stitch the top end corners of the swag to the binding at the center of the long sides of the quilt.

5. Cut the ribbon to make (2) 1-yard lengths. Tie each length into a bow. Hand-stitch at the top corner of each end of the swag. Trim ribbon ends to desired length to finish.
