Additional Costs

• Passport fees (age 16 or older: $145; under age 16: $115) • Spending money (approx. $ 15-20 per day for lunch and discretionary shopping)

Fundraising An ETC Core Committee is comprised of parent volunteers and is chaired by Communications Director, Alex Gerleman. This committee organizes, delegates and facilitates various student fundraisers to defray the cost of the choir tour.

Eligibility & Auditions

• Eligible ETC singers must be registered for a curricular choir. • Auditions will be held the second and third week of September 2019.

Parent Chaperones When filling chaperone positions for the tour, the tour administration will first approach senior high and district licensed staff, and then parents.

• Chaperones are paid $210 (per chaperone couple) which is paid by the student participants and deducted from the chaperones’ total package cost. Spouses are invited and may team up with their husband/wife to help supervise their chaperone family (maximum of 5 or 6 students) if they desire.

• All chaperones will be expected to perform all supervision and tour responsibilities for $210 compensation. • Must be at least 21 of years of age

• Opportunities for chaperoning will be limited based on the number of students participating.

• As per district policy, adults not employed by ISD #720 may be subject to a background check.

Friends & Family Shadow Tour (F & F Tour) Friends and family members of our touring students have the opportunity to experience the trip itinerary, see all the student concerts, but stay in their own hotels, restaurants and have their own unstructured travel time. The F & F Tour members will be able to get together with their student singer during the student’s unstructured time, and may have a common restaurant meal or two with the student tour group. This is the perfect opportunity to see France with your own family, and still have some contact with your student singer. For those who do not get the opportunity to chaperone, the F & F tour is a way to still experience the trip. Note: Student singers are required to attend all student scheduled activities on the Choir Tour Itinerary. Rehearsal Schedule The European Tour Choir rehearses during the academic school year on Monday Evenings (7:00-8:30pm) and Wednesday Mornings (7:30-8:10AM) starting January 2020.
