SHAYLOR GROUP BUILDING A BETTER FUTURE | BUILD | INTERIORS | REPAIR AND MAINTAIN

Client: Post Office LimitedValue: £5.3 millionLocation: Finsbury St, City of London

The project consisted of the detailed refurbishment of the second, first and ground floors of Finsbury Dials to create a new HQ for the Post Office Ltd. The works were carried out whilst JP Morgan were trading on the upper floors so noisy and dusty works were managed carefully at all times and emergency access routes were maintained throughout the project. This project was extremely fast track with up to 150 operatives working simultaneously on site and was delivered on time and within the budget restraints. The Client’s and Architect’s high expectations were fully met and the project is currently awaiting SKA Gold Accreditation.

Post Office Customer Support Centre

Client: BuildabilityValue: £1.3 millionLocation: Birmingham City Centre

Delivery of Category A and B fit out over multiple floors to form flagship office accommodation for the Highways Agency. The high specification accommodation included WC blocks, shower areas, kitchen and refreshment areas, first aid and prayer areas. Client satisfaction was particularly high and we received commendations for our quality of product and service. There was particular acknowledgement from the Client and their team for our outstanding H&S performance within the busy construction site.

Highways Agency, The Cube

Client: Curtins Consulting LtdValue: £42,000Location: Birmingham City Centre

Working within a live environment, we undertook the refurbishment of two floors of Curtins Consulting’s Birmingham office to provide a more vibrant and practical space. As the Client is a Structural Engineering firm, we were able to work collaboratively on design features and we were extremely pro-active with ensuring best value and quality were delivered. Client satisfaction was to such a level that we have been engaged on further works to their offices.

Curtins Consulting Regional Office

Client: Aero Engine ControlsValue: £62,400Location: Hall Green, Birmingham

We delivered the fit out of the first open floor space for Aero Engine Controls, part of the Rolls Royce Group. The project was a pilot scheme for an alternative working environment for the Senior Leadership Team in preparation for their move to a new manufacturing base. The Client’s designers required cost saving design input from Shaylor Group from the very start to remain on budget without reducing quality and the finished look. Works were carried out in an occupied area without any disruptions to the Client’s team.

Senior Leadership Team Pilot Area

Client: Omaha Nominees Ltd and F & C Reit Asset ManagementValue: £1.73 millionLocation: Birmingham City Centre

The project involved the complete refurbishment of the entrance foyer, three floors, common areas and construction of a new structural glazed entrance area carried out within the occupied high profile, city centre building. We overcame a number of complicated logistical issues due to the constrained city centre location. Minimal disruption to existing tenants was achieved through careful phasing, clear signage and regular newsletters. We also interfaced closely with the Local Authority to ensure smooth road and pavement closures.

Bank House Office Building

Client: UST GlobalValue: £365,900Location: Portman Square, London

This project comprised the Category B fit-out of the fifth floor of a commercial building, including mechanical and electrical installations. The Shaylor Group team travelled to India to value engineer the project from £700,000 down to £370,000 with the Client and the Architect. The building was occupied therefore strict restrictions on noise levels were maintained and access hours to the fifth floor were limited therefore ‘just in time’ delivery procedures were implemented.
