The Brief & The Solution
Having already recently completed works within the 3
Hardman Street Building for clients BDO Stoy Hayward,
Claremont were in a good position to be a able to advise
existing client, Shoosmiths, who were already renting space
within the same building.
The scheme was jointly designed by both Claremont‘s
Warrington and Bristol teams, working closely alongside the
client. The law firm wanted a strong local and regional theme,
with Manchester-centric themed meeting rooms and
manifestation of Manchester United footballers and Oasis.
Claremont completed the space planning, design, fit-out,
furniture provision and installation and AV package over the
course of a seven week programme.
Having successfully completed offices for
Shoosmiths in Nottingham, Fareham and
Reading, Claremont Group Interiors were
appointed to complete the turnkey fit-out
of the Solicitors’ Manchester office —the
law firm’s first base in the North West and
its eighth office in the UK. Claremont
worked closely with Shoosmiths to
continue the corporate design theme,
whilst at the same time providing the new
office with its own unique identity.

The Result
The works completed by Claremont included a new reception

Shoosmiths’ Firm-wide Facilities Manager, Carol Light, said:
“During my discussions with Allied London and Spinningfields
Management Company, both organisations informed me they
found that the fit out and the professionalism of the project
and process management was the best they had seen in the
building. [...] I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to you plus
their comments for a superb job.”
Following completion of the Manchester office, Claremont
were also subsequently appointed to carry out works at
Shoosmiths ‘Milton Keynes office.
