Brainstorming

ThefirstlogowasconceivedtomeanbringingpeopletogetherinAnnArbor,Michiganfromaroundtheglobe.Hence,themainpartofthelogoisaglobewithtwoarrowscirclingthe

globeandcomingtogetherinMichigan.Alightbluewasselectedasitrepresentsneutrality,

whichIthinkisimportanttorepresentaninternationallogo.However,Ialsoplayedwith

usingblackandgray.Ibelievethedesignissimpleenoughthatitcouldbeeasilyswapped

withothercolorsorevenusenegativespaceforthearrowstocreatetherepresentation.

Thesecondlogoismeanttoshowunityusingthepolygonstoformaglobe.Again,thewhite

isusedtobreakupthedifferentpieceswhiletheblueismeanttosymbolizepopulationsandculture.

Thethirdlogoismeanttobeamuchsimplerrepresentation.Again,theblueglobeisdesignedtorepresenttheworldbutthentheresnegativespaceusedtocreateahouse.

Severalsearchesshowedthatthearchedroofspansmultipleculturesandisaworldwide

design.Thisrepresentationshouldhelpcommunicateacrossculturesinordertosymbolize

living.Inthecenterare7circlesmeanttorepresentthe7continentsoftheEarthliving

underoneroof.

Typography

ThefontselectedforthelogoisVerdana.Verdanawasselectedbecausethemostlikely

placethislogowillbeseenisonacomputerscreenandVerdanawasdesignedforthe

purpose.Eveniftextisputinprintitwillmostlikelybeaccessedondigitalscreensinthe

future.

Thecolorpalletincludedhastwoextracolorsgreenandredintheevent
