To aid in understanding how Michigans

    ongoing state-wide accreditation work may

be used to support and assist in meeting

    national voluntary accreditation through

PHAB, the Michigan Public Health Train-

ing Center (MPHTC) funded a Crosswalk

of the two programs. The Crosswalk was

    developed by Mary Kushion, MSA..

It is the goal of this consortium to bring

together the target audience, consisting of

    healthcare, volunteer and public health

    emergency management personnel in both

the governmental and private sectors to

    discuss shared practices in mitigation,

    emergency management and response

before, during, and after a disaster.

This forum will provide a hands-on, adult

    learning environment promoting the shar-

ing of ideas and discussion of best prac-

    tices.

By strengthening the skills of the work-

force, the Michigan Public Health Training

    Center (MPHTC) supports public health

professionals to promote and protect the

health and well-being of Michigan's popu-

    lation. The MPHTC offers competency-

based training linked to the Essential

Public Health Services and the Core Co-

    mpetencies for Public Health Professionals.

Public Health is the science of protecting

and improving the health of communities

    through education, promotion of healthy

lifestyles, and research for disease and

    injury prevention.

The Online Donor Center will keep you

informed on how we are putting your

generous, hard earned dollars to work. The center is also designed to offer you a

variety of giving options to suit your

    charitable inspiration.
