    which

    Damascus. I t

    is a

    vil lage

    about

    100 miles

    from here

    and l i e s

    deep

    i n th e

    bush. At

    the t ime

    r e a l i z e

    how difficult it would

    b e t o r e a c h it

    We

    left

    we

    could

    g e t t h e r e

    by

    walking only 5

    miles . After walking t h i s 5

    miles

    we

    f e l t

    more

    l i k e r e s t i n g

    than prea

    ching. I t was 1:00 when we a r r i v e d

    but

    the

    people

    were

    wait ing

    f o r us

    a t

    t h e

    church .

    we

    m e n c e d t h e c h u r c h s e r v i c e .

    Again we began the

    5 mile walk

    b a c k t h r u t h e

    f o r e s t to w h e r e we h a d

    l e f t

    the c a r .

    When we reached it

    we still

    had 100

    m i l e s

    t o

    d r i v e

    b e

    f o r e

    we w e r e home.

    have been so g l a d t o g e t home.How

    t r i p

    was worthwhile. The

    t r i p was a va luable experience.

    the

    summer

    days. The purpose i s

    to

    v i s i t the

    mission

    work there.

    In

    fact i t i s

    hoped t h a t a

    v i s i t can

    be

    made

    t o

    other places such as Congo. Congo

    i s not

    far

    away but i t may be d i f f i

    c u l t t o g e t t o th e p l a c e where our

    m i s s i o n a r i e s

    a r e .

    of

    our B ible colleges

    when he

    comes

    drums which convey mes

    is carved

    out o f

    a tree many times.
