The demands on your IT environment are growing increasingly complex and require different integration approaches. traditional approaches. SAP API Business Hub speeds up integration projects by allowing you to search, discover, experience, and consume SAP and third-party APIs through a central catalog. Sandbox functionality facilitates API testing and prepackaged accelerators to help you integrate APIs into your applications and extensions.

When it comes to high-volume event processing and analytics, we support event-driven application architectures in a number of ways. As a result, you can consume high-volume, high-velocity event streams (including IoT applications), detect anomalies and discrepancies in real time, and instantly take action with streaming analytics.

You can scale applications, services, and devices across different technologies, platforms, and clouds to leverage live events using the SAP Cloud Platform Enterprise Messaging service. Its device-messaging infrastructure can handle high volumes of message traffic to support activities such as monitoring sensor data streams and high-volume Web interactions. It can also capture events raised by SAP and third-party applications – for example, submit-ting a new order, distributing it to subscribing applications, and then linking automatic actions.

What’s more, you can instantly activate functions in response to triggered events and scale them automatically to support unpredictable workloads with the SAP Cloud Platform Functions service. This service lets you allocate the required compu-tation capacity to support a new loyalty program for which you offer a subscription gift, and auto-mate the gift procurement process, for example.

SUPPORT ACROSS CLOUDS AND THE GROUNDWe support protocols and provide technologies to enable a broad spectrum of use cases, including B2B, business-to-government (B2G), application-to-application (A2A), IoT, and mobile app integration. For example, with the SAP Cloud Platform IoT service, you can interact with physical assets, such as machines using sensor technology, and manage devices at scale. The service allows you to connect data from devices and sensors with applications and services running on SAP Cloud Platform for further processing. As a result, you can perform real-time analytics on large, live data streams or feed data into other business processes, for example. You can preprocess data close to the device where it is generated using edge gateway software on premise or in the cloud. This service helps you take a fast, efficient approach to IoT projects and connect devices supporting a broad variety of protocols, so you can process events at the edge of the network, detect anomalies, and take action.

The SAP Cloud Platform Integration Suite supports cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground integration, while providing content compatibility across the cloud and on premise. It connects cloud and on-premise data and processes for SAP as well as non-SAP applications. It also complements on-premise SAP Process Orchestration software when used together as two elements of a hybrid integration platform.

ENLARGING THE TALENT POOLWe embed artificial intelligence (AI) into our integration services to empower ad hoc and citizen developers. One such example is the SAP Cloud Platform Integration Advisor service. Part of the self-learning integration network, the integration advisor service helps close the gap between the business specifications and technical requirements of implementations – reducing misinterpretations, errors, costs, and unnecessary activities. The service facilitates collaboration and interaction through a shared knowledge base, includes insights based on intelligent crowdsourc-ing, and promotes the reuse of content as well as a common understanding among integration partners.

SAP Cloud Platform Integration Advisor contains a machine learning–enabled central directory, along with powerful tools that reduce the need for manual definition and implementation of requirements and let you run simulations with integration partners. Advanced machine learning functionality allows it to automatically generate interface and mapping content at the business-domain level.

In a similar vein, we offer intuitive, Web-based, graphical-modeling tools to develop, configure, and monitor A2A, B2B, and other integration scenarios. You can combine SAP Cloud Platform IoT with the SAP IoT Application Enablement toolkit of reusable microservices and application templates to build IoT applications more quickly, securely, and at scale. For example, the toolkit enables the easy creation, monitoring, control, and distribution of digital representations, or “digital twins,” of real-world objects such as machines or products. It also allows you to lever-age services to manage the storage of Big Data.

SIMPLIFYING CONNECTIVITY AND WORKFLOWSAs part of the integration suite, the SAP Cloud Platform Open Connectors service includes more than 150 open connectors to third-party applica-tions, such as Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Amazon Web Services, SugarCRM, JMS, AS2, RFC, and the process direct adapter in the SAP Cloud Platform Integration Suite. You can build custom application processes by extending preconfigured flows or using the included stan-dards-based application connectors, and create additional adapters with the software develop-ment kit. The features include:

• Normalized authentication, error handling, search, pagination, and bulk support, regard-less of the underlying architecture across the various SAP and non-SAP cloud or on-premise APIs, through the preconfigured connectors

• Standardized events that support polling and Web hooks, irrespective of the event support provided in the underlying end points

• Built-in interactive API documentation in OpenAPI Specification to explore, test, and try out the APIs from one place

• Build-your-own canonical model or common resources to provide “one-to-many” integra-tions across the various preconfigured connectors

We provide optimized transition paths to SAP S/4HANA Cloud to facilitate the transition from on-premise to cloud deployments as well as workloads and business rule services. You can customize, modify, and extend applications in the cloud using the SAP Cloud Platform Workflow service.
