Makers of smart phones include Blackberry, Nokia, iPhone and HTC which are the top providers.

Smart phones have indeed helped to improve productivity, communication in the work place, social engagement, and education.

The Yankee Group Enterprise Mobility Surveys reveal that 40 percent of respondents say more than a third of employees in their organization are remote or mobile workers

A study done in 2008 by Lotus Software predicts that the total amount of enterprise mobile users will grow at an annual rate of 21 percent between 2008 and 2012.
