Hi there! Firstly, thanks for downloading this tool. I hope you find it of use and I wish you all the best in helping people gain a little confidence boost. It can also be used to help people find the words that best describe themselves for their personal profile on their CVs; many people struggle with coming up with positive words to describe themselves, but by getting other people to come up with these words and ideas, it gives the person the confidence and “authorisation” to use them. More tools like this are taught on my course “Tools for Empowering People and Creating Resilient Communities” that can be booked via www.paulstepczak.com/training. So, how do you use this mini toolkit? Step 1 Print 1 copy of pages 1&2 (Self-Assessment sheets), print 5 copies of pages 3&4 (Peer Assessment sheets) and print 1 copy of page 5 (Summary sheet). Step 2 Get the participant to complete the Self-Assessment sheets. This will get the person to find 6 positive words that describe themselves and get them to stop and think about what makes them happy and what job they would like (if this is used in a job finding context) Step 3 All we have so far is the individual’s perspective. Now we need to get some others! Get the participant to give 3-5 copies of the Peer Assessment sheet to 3-5 people that know him/her well (if the person is seriously lacking confidence, sometimes it is best to do this exercise first). Step 4 Get the participant to complete the table in the Summary sheet by using ALL the words from ALL the completed Assessment Sheets (both Self and Peer Assessments). Using the 3-5 most reoccurring words from the Values, Skills and Strengths boxes, put them in the text box after “I am…” and put these works into a sentence. (It also helps if you get the person to say it out aloud). Use the words from the “Happy” table into the “Positive future” text box. From what the participant and his/her friends have said about what job that they think would be suitable, complete the “Jobs that interest me the most” text box. Have fun helping people help themselves! Paul Stepczak

Hi there!

Firstly, thanks for downloading this tool. I hope you find it of use and I wish you all the best in

helping people gain a little confidence boost. It can also be used to help people find the words that

best describe themselves for their personal profile on their CVs; many people struggle with coming

up with positive words to describe themselves, but by getting other people to come up with these

words and ideas, it gives the person the confidence and “authorisation” to use them.

More tools like this are taught on my course “Tools for Empowering People and Creating Resilient

Communities” that can be booked via www.paulstepczak.com/training.
