class we are talking about water resources, so in this

booklet we are going to talk about water resources , what is

water resources, how do people use water resources

and many other things!!

Prior knowledge-Water resources is very important in our lives, specifically

for use them in many things like: take a shower, Cook, brush your teeth…etc. It Is a renewable resources, and also it helps us to live.

-People waste a lot of water, sometimes they brush their teeth and live the sink open and that is terrible because each time we are having less water.

-When people waste water sometimes they dont realice but for real they are doing a big mistake because without it we cant do important things also it affects all living things.

General information

Water resources are sources of water that are useful to humans. Uses of water include agricultural, industrial, for the house hold, recreational and for the environment. All of these human uses require FRESH WATER.

97% of water on the Earth is salt water, leaving only 3% as fresh water of which easy over two thirds is frozen in GLACIERS and POLAR ICE CAPS. The remaining unfrozen freshwater is mainly found as groundwater, with only a small fraction present above ground or in the air.

Why do we need water?Water resources most be the resources that we need

more.We need water to grow to stay alive , we also need water to care plants and animals, cook our food, bathe and brush our teeth , flush the toilet, and watsh our clothe.

In fact we need water for every thing we make in our life, and we dont appreciated water because we dont know the importance of it.

ImportanceWater is the most important natural resource, it

is the most basic human need and a valuable national asset. Efficient development and optimum utilization of water resources, therefore is of great significance to the over all development of country.

Uses of fresh water agricultural:It is anestimated that 69% of world wide water use is

for irrigation.In some areas of the world irrigation is necessary to grow any crop at all, on other areas it permits more profitable crops to be grown or enhances crop yield.

This is how they do irrigation.

Irrigation: The artificial application of water to land to assist in the production of cropsCrops: the cultivated produce of the ground, while growing or when gathered the wheat crop.

INDUSTRIALIt is estimated that 15% of worldwide water use

it industrial. Major industrial uses powerplants,which use water for cooling or as a power source, ore and oil refineries, which use water in chemical processes, and manufacturing plants,which use water as a solvent.

The portion of industrial water usage that is consumptive varies widely,but as whole is lower than agricultural use. Ore: a metal-bearing mineral or rock, or a native metal, that can be mined at a profit

We all know that there are places with a good quantity of water also with pretty water like the enviroments that have criytalline water, but there is a big problem we are converting that precious water in something that anybody wants we are wasting the water, contaminating the water and we dont care about it.

Good and bad use of water resourcesThey are many ways to use water resources in a

usefull manner but people dont understand that, so they are not trying to do an effort for do not waste water. They dont care about it.

Here are some recomendations for using less water and do not waste it:

-when you are brushing your theeth try to close the sink.

-when you are taking a shower try to close it when you are put in your shampoo.

Brushing your teeths plus taking a shower is equal to close the sink and dont waste water!!!.

When you are watching a car close the sink.When you are taking a shower try to calculate the time for you to stay less time on the shower and waste less water. We already talk about a good way for use the water resources know lets talk a Little bit of the bad use.:-When you live the shower open -When you dont calculated the time when you are using the water resources.-Do not contaminated the water(Do not throw garbage)

The sink open plus dont calculating the time using the shower plus garbage is equal to contaminating the water and wasting water!!!
