Sofia Bunge graduated from the Buenos Aires University in 1996. After residency in Internal Medicine, she specialized in Geriatrics, and simultaneously she completed a post grade course in Palliative Medicine. She has the Argentine Certification in Palliative Medicine, 2005.

Since 2001 she has worked as physician in the Programa Argentino de Medicina Paliativa- Fundación FEMEBA and continues still today.

She is the coordinator and teacher of the “Curso de Postgrado Interdisciplinario en Medicina Palliativa”, PAMP FF, Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales, FLACSO, and the Palliative Care online Courses Grupo de Educación Telemática en Español de Cuidado Paliativo (GETE-CP) developed by the PAMP FF. The project was sponsored by the ALCP, with funding from IAHPC and technical collaboration of the Centre for Distance Learning and Research in Palliative Care (CEDER) at the University of Calgary, Canada.

Dr. Bunge is a member of the Directive Commission of the Argentine Association Medicine and Palliative Care (Asociacion Argentina de Medicina y Cuidados Paliativos).
