Happy to share their first-classexperience are David and Barbara Arnoldof Dronfield Woodhouse, who chose Layersto supply and fit new vinyl flooring in theirkitchen and dining room.

Mr and Mrs Arnold said: We first choseLayers eight years ago when they fitted ourkitchen with vinyl flooring. We initially wentto them because they are a local firm and sowe thought we would give them a try. Theywere in the Civic Centre back then and weused to pass them while out shopping.

Having been very happy with the service,when we decided to have vinyl fitted in thedining room too, we used Layers again. Thedining room used to be carpeted but now itis more easily accessible for David, who usesa wheeled walker, as it is all one level andtotally flat.

When we visited the shop to enquireabout the flooring, we felt very looked after.They got a chair for David and moved thingsaround in the shop to make it more easilyaccessible for him.

We had something quite specific in mindand were shown lots of samples. The choicewas great and they explained about thedifferent types of vinyl, helping us to reachthe right decision. After we had chosen, theysaid it could be done within two weeks and were happy to fit it at a convenient timefor us.

In the meantime, a man came round tomeasure the room and he brought samplesso we could double check we werecompletely happy with our choice.

Then when the fitter arrived a few dayslater we recognised each other as he was theone who had fitted our kitchen flooring eightyears ago. He placed plywood down in thedining room as he had done previously withthe kitchen before laying the flooring so itwas nice and smooth. The vinyl is also verythick so it looks just like real woodenfloorboards.

We were so impressed with the fittersworkmanship; he was brilliant. We still cantget our head around how he fitted theflooring as it was all in one piece but itsincredibly neat especially around theradiator pipes. He also pulled out the fridge,freezer and washer and put them back intoplace with no trouble. All in under two hours.

He was so impressed with hishandiwork he even asked us if he could takea photograph for his portfolio!

If anybody asks us where to get newflooring, we would definitely recommendLayers. And in the future when we need newcarpets well certainly be popping up there.

Could you touch another persons life when it really matters?

Either by discussing their feelings withthem directly, by phone, email, text, letteror even face to face? Or perhaps you could

support our branch by helping with theadministration, fundraising or marketing?

Our confidential, 24-hour listening service responds to five million contacts a year.

We also reach out to our local community by visiting soup kitchens, colleges, universities,

prisons and workplaces. With so much happening,were constantly looking for new people

to strengthen our teams.

We usually ask volunteers to give three to fourhours a week, including some overnight time.

Out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.

Very often youre put onto anti-anxietymedication, you may be placed on the waitinglist for counselling, you could also be left totackle this new, very frightening and lonely

problem by yourself. You then change yourlife to accommodate the panic attacks, havingno idea how to stop them or help yourself.You feel lost, lonely and afraid of your ownmind.

You stop seeing friends as much or evenat all, you stop answering the phone, you stopgoing to places like the cinema or to socialevents, you stop going to the shops oranywhere you fear might increase the risk ofhaving another panic attack.

This is an understandable reaction. Asanyone who has suffered a panic attack cantestify, the effects can be pretty extreme, suchas a racing heart, breathlessness, poundingheadache, extreme sweats and uncontrollableshakes can make you feel on the brink ofpassing out.

The fear is often made worse by thethought of having a panic attack in public. In

reality, more often than not, only you willknow what is happening, but if you do suffer apanic attack it seems as though the wholeworld is watching.

However, life doesnt have to be like this.Over the years I have used hypnotherapy totreat many people for panic attacks, and theresults have been life changing. Its alsosurprisingly quick to stop panic attacks, sostop feeling alone and afraid and let me helpyou. Let these panic attacks be a thing of thepast and get your life back to where youwant it.

If theres one thing Cuba knows best, itshow to throw a good party. Home tosalsa dancing, rum and a cultural fusionof cuisines, the best of this nation is allunder one roof in Sheffield.My last trip to Cubana was when it was

still on Trippet Lane, so I was excited tosample the tapas and cocktails at theirrelatively new home in Leopold Square.Cubana has been at this stylish location foralmost a year and if the busy downstairs barand booked-up restaurant upstairs areanything to go by, the move has been a ravingsuccess.

Absorbing the colourful, courtyard-stylesetting, my partner and I got our Friday fiestastarted with a Brazilian Mojito, made withsugarcane spirit cachaa instead of rum, and aVerry Berry Jerry cocktail, made with SailorJerry and fruity Chambord.

The tapas menu had a guide for helpingyou decide how many dishes to go for.Deciding we were hungry on the scale, wewent with four each.

After sharing a Pan de Ajo Calentito (garlicbread), I tucked into the Gambas Pil Pil(prawns in garlic and olive oil), Patatas Dulcesy Pimientos (roasted sweet potatoes and redpeppers), Pincho Verduras (grilledMediterranean vegetable skewer) and theChorizo y Huevo con Patatas (chorizo andpotatoes topped with a fried egg). Try sayingall that after a few cocktails!

The prawns were juicy with a butteryflavour, whilst my mountain of sweet potatoeswas balanced by spicy chilli. The marinatedvegetable skewer, including blackened

aubergines and courgettes, had a lemony tang,whilst the chorizo and potatoes dipped in thefried egg reminded me of a fried breakfastwith a Spanish twist. All together, this was anexciting and varied feast full of many flavours.

My partner had the Mozzarella y Jamn(buffalo mozzarella wrapped in Parma ham),Salteado de Championes al Ajillo (sautedmixed mushrooms with garlic and chilli),Pincho de Pollo (grilled chicken skewer) andthe Pollo y Chorizo (chicken and chorizo in acreamy tomato sauce).

He especially enjoyed the mascarpone-style sauce on his chicken and chorizo andthe portions of mozzarella wrapped in ham,comparing them to cheese-filled pigs inblankets. I had a mouthful of the chickenskewer, which was barbecued to perfectionand made a great summer dish.

My partner had the raspberry cheesecaketo finish a great recommendation by ourwaiter Stuart whilst I had the decadentchocolate cake with moist layers of chocolateand fudge. My partner washed this down witha Brazilian liqueur coffee with kahlua andfiery brandy, whilst I had the smoother Cubanliqueur coffee with dark rum.

By this point, a man was serenadingdiners with his saxophone and the party wasjust getting started downstairs with peopleswaying to traditional salsa and Latino clubtunes.

Owner Adrians ethos is about providingthe whole package when it comes to a nightout. With a gorgeous menu, excitingcocktails and regular live music events,Cubana sure does deliver.

She moved into a moreaccessible bungalow inDronfield with friendDenise Holmes inOctober 2013 and soonrealised the propertyneeded a few changesto adapt to her lifestyle.

As Cathys bed is weighed down withmobility equipment, the bed was too heavy to

move out of the room, so Richardand his team did half of the

room in the morning and theother half in the afternoon.

They even removed theold carpet and disposedof it with minimummess.

We all like to add apersonal touch to ourhomes and with

Tidy the gardenWhen the leaves fall in autumn they cansuffocate the grass underneath, especially if theyare wet (which, lets face it, in autumn and winter,theyre going to be). However, dont just scrape

them up and put them in the bin theycontain plenty of nutrients which can

make them a great fertiliser. Thisreduces waste and is environmentallyfriendly. Also, all frost-sensitive plantsshould be moved from tubs to smallerpots and placed in a suitable shelter.

Dont worry if you dont have agreenhouse most plants will be perfectly

happy in your porch or on a window sill.

UnwantedguestsSmall animals like rats and mice canfind their way into virtually anyhome if theyre given theopportunity, but their refuges tendto be the same. Checking commonhiding places such as under thestairs, cupboards and appliances, ensures you know about them intime to get rid of them before youhave any nasty surprises. They aremore common inside the houseduring the winter as they love thewarmth of insulated basements andlofts, using them as nesting placesfrom where they have easy accessto the rest of your house and,occasionally, your food. To avoidany surprise encounters with thesefurry freeloaders, block off anyopenings any insects or smallanimals could get through. Anddont forget that its important dothis before thecold drives thelittle creaturesto seek shelterinside.

Check yourguttersClogged gutters will block thedrainage of melting snow and theautumn rain. This could lead toleaks and may even end up harmingthe foundations of your house. As autumn tendsto leave little gifts of fallen leaves in gutters, nowis the time to grab a ladder, a pair of gloves, arubbish bag and get stuck in.

Make your heating as efficient as possibleBleeding your radiators is a great way to make sure your home stays as warm as possible. It allows hotwater to fill the whole of your radiators by releasing any trapped air. This means your heating system willwork more efficiently. A poor performing radiator, or one that is making a strange shrill sound, indicates aproblem. If it still does not perform as efficiently as it once did, even after bleeding, then it could be that theheating pipes are blocked. In that case, hire a plumber or heating engineer to clear out the pipes and get thesystem back in top condition. Make sure your house is well heated in the colder months to prevent yourwater pipes from freezing and cracking. If they do, you could end up with other problems such as leakingsor burst pipes which can result in serious water damage to your home.

Keeping safeKeeping safe in the autumn and winter is very

different from keeping safe during the rest of theyear as the number of house fires in the UK

rises due to the increased use of heatingappliances. If you have a wood-burning fire have

it swept and repaired because this can help toprevent chimney fires and prevent dangerous

carbon monoxide from getting into your home.If your smoke and carbon monoxide

detectors are more than ten years old, it is recommended that they should

be replaced.

Peoples emotions can overwhelm them. It can become an exceptionally emotive dispute and as such people can often be ruled by their heart rather than their head. It can create a situation where the family is quickly ripped apart.

Claims are on the rise. Recent reports indicate that claims have increased by 30%. This is, in my view, the tip of the iceberg. One in ve people have been involved in a Will dispute in the UK and this is likely to increase. Irwin Mitchell gets 70 new enquiries a month on average and this gure is growing. It is a signicantly higher gure than it was even three years ago.

It is difcult to avoid these disputes where there are disappointed beneciaries and their very nature means that they are not easy to resolve.

It is vitally important to take advice from experts. This is a very specialised area of litigation and has its own unique rules and procedures. If it is approached like a commercial dispute, this can create additional problems. Those of us who are experienced in this area of law, generally adopt a pragmatic and reasonable stance, always looking to explore the possibility of settlement, given the very high costs involved in litigating the matter. The rst letter can set the tone for the way in which the dispute develops and ultimately the manner in which it is resolved.

In my view the best advice is simply to talk. People are naturally reluctant to discuss their Wills and what will happen in the event of their death. There are situations where there is no perfect solution. By way of example, a person may have two children, one of whom has worked in the family company for 20 years helping to make it the success that it is. The company may constitute 90% of the estate. Does the Testator leave his/her shareholding to the child that has been in the business or look to split the estate equally? There is no right or wrong answer. However, if everything is discussed openly and the reasons for the decision conveyed, it cannot often prevent a dispute arising after death. It is frequently the shock of the contents of the Will, at a time when family members may be suffering from signicant feelings of loss and upset at the death of a loved one, that fuels the dispute.

I am increasingly involved in assessing the risks of a dispute and devising strategies to minimise those risks. I discuss these issues with the person making the Will, in conjunction with the tax advisors, so that an informed decision can be made as to how to structure their estate. Indeed, I have found myself mediating with the family members to reach a solution that everyone can live with. This has so far avoided any disputes arising after death, and indeed
